"S-Sorry I woke you up, Lisa told me I should meet you as I'm new here..." Sal gulped, he was pretty sure Larry disliked him a lot now. "That's it, I ruined the only friendship I had a chance at getting here, great..." Sal thought to himself.
Larry huffed loudly and brushed his brunette hair out of his face, "this is a bad time to come here, but whatever, my name is Larry, you said your new here right?"
Sal nodded, "yes, my name is sal, it's nice to meet you."
"Do you mind leaving for a second while I get changed?" Larry pointed to the door.
Sal nodded and left the room. Once he came back in, Larry was dressed and his bed was made.
Larry yawned, "I still can't believe you woke me up, I need beauty sleep, as you can see," he pointed at his face.
"I'm sorry, and you don't need it," Sal laughed a little and earned a strange stare from Larry.
"What school are you going to anyway?" Larry changed the subject.
"The one down the road from here."
"Oh! I go to that school as well, I can show you around I guess," he shrugged and pointed to a beanbag, "sorry, you can sit down."
"So, is there anyone else in the Apartments that I should meet?" Sal was determined to make friends, he was sick of being alone and his depression was really starting to get to him, but actual human contact was helping, a lot.
Larry shrugged, "this place sucks, there is hardly any guys the same age as us, but you should meet Todd, he's pretty cool as well."
Sal nodded, "sure, thanks, Larry"
"Don't worry it's pretty lonely down here, my mother is always out and Todd never leaves the house so, it's nice to have some company."
"Considering you're probably the nicest someone has ever been to me, I know how you feel when you get lonely," Sal sighed sadly.
Larry nodded and bit his lip.
"I should probably go, my dad will be waiting for me to home for dinner, will I see you tomorrow?"
"You bet," Larry winked and walked him to the door.

**{Time Skip}**

"Where the hell have you been?" Sally's father shouted as soon as sal entered the house.
"I went to meet the neighbours, and I met someone who goes the same school as me so he can show me around," Sal said happily.
"You could've told me you were going out!"
"Your drunk, I'm going to bed, goodnight!" Sal ran to his door.

Sally told Larry that he was going to get dinner, which was a little lie, Sally's father spent every last penny to move here -and he bought some drink for himself- and they were just going to have to go hungry for tonight.
But he was happy, for once his new friend didn't ask him about his mask, or why he loves styling his hair like a girl would normally do, he felt accepted and he appreciated Larry for that.
Sally untied his hair and let it fall down past his shoulders, he reached behind his head and unbuckled his mask, letting it fall onto his bed before sitting down. He turned to look out the window, and immediately turned away, his own reflection disgusted him, if only he hadn't petted the dog, things would be different... So much different.
