Sally curled his blue hair around his finger and turned to look at Larry, who had fallen asleep and was snoring loudly. Sally didn't want to wake him up, even though he probably should.
As quietly as he could, he crept out of Larry's room and went back to his own house.
"Hey, Sal."
"Hi dad, I was at Larry's, you okay?" Sally asked as he entered the living room.
"I'm fine."
Sally nodded and went into his room, getting comfortable on his bed and falling asleep quickly.
He was awoken in the middle of the night by the sound of his phone ringing, he picked it up, it was an unknown caller.
"Hello?" A familiar voice could be heard down the line.
"Travis? What do you want?" Sally tried to be quiet, but couldn't handle his hate towards Travis.
"I just want to tell you that you're an asshole, you join the school, make friends with the local faggot and then think you own the place. Listen, you told them about what you heard didn't you?" Travis hissed.
"How did you even get my number?" Sally got ready to hang up the call.
There was no answer, so Sally hung up the phone and turned it off.
He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, he didn't want anything to do with Travis, or anyone else that would just cause him pain, he'd had enough of that already.
Everything was silent, and it was around midnight, Sally's father had gone to bed, and Sal guessed Larry was still sleeping. But this was okay, because Sally had time to think about the past few days, so much had happened since he moved. Mostly good things.
Sally smiled to himself and was glad that he decided to speak to Lisa on his first day.
Suddenly, a little tap could be heard from his window, Sally frowned and walked over to where the noise was coming from to see what was going on.
Larry was standing outside his window, throwing pebbles to get his attention, Sally opened the window and poked his head out.
"Yo! I snuck out, fancy going out for a drink?" Larry shouted up to him.
"Seriously?" Sally rolled his eyes.
"Yes!"
"You could've broken my window you absolute spoon!" Sally yelled.
Larry laughed, "you need to work on you insults."
"If you come up here, then maybe I'll let you in, but be quiet, if my dad hears he'll kill me."
Larry nodded and walked off.
"So why don't you want to go out?" Larry asked while he looked around Sally's room.
"I don't feel like it tonight," Sally sighed and beckoned Larry to sit beside him on his bed.
Larry sat down, and gulped, "Sally?"
Sal turned to face him and tilted his head to the side.
"Can we stop acting like that kiss didn't happen?"
Sally felt his face heat up again, he hadn't forgotten about it, he hadn't stopped thinking about it since it happened.
"I-I..." Sally sighed, "sure."
The room went awkwardly silent.
Sally messed with one of the straps in his mask, before muttering, "do you mind if I take this off? It's getting pretty uncomfortable."
"Not at all," Larry smiled and watched as Sally removed his mask.
Sally proceeded to untie his hair and let it fall past his shoulders.
"You should wear your hair down more often, it looks nice."
Sally smiled in response and turned away, he didn't have his mask to hide his blushing now...
