Assassin 20: Ball Tournament

Δ Assassin 20: Sayuri's PoV Δ

"The inter-class ball game tournament. Hmm..." Korosensei is skimming through the papers I got from our meeting. It went smoothly unexpectedly. Seems like the Virtuosos somehow know their places when I am around.

"Cultivating healthy minds and bodies through sports. How splendid!" Korosensei showed the paper to the whole class. "Still, why isn't the class E listed on the tournament table?"

"Apparently, Class E is excluded from the main event." I said. "Hence, they have to participate in an exhibition by the end. With the entire student body watching, they are forced to battle against selected members of the baseball club for the boys and the basketball club for the girls."

"Are you going to be fine?" Korosensei asked.

"Of course! With the new skills we have, there's no way we can lose to them." Kataoka replied. "Sayuri-chan, will you join us for the exhibition?"

"I would love to but I would be watching by the sides. Apparently, I am in charge for organizing the tournaments and I will be one of the spectators for baseball. But I can help you before your game!" I exclaimed.

"Thank you, Sayuri-chan!" Nagisa gave me a smile.

"Since, Kataoka-chan will be handling the basketball girls, I guess Sugino-kun would help the boys?" I asked turning my head at him. He looks rather disturbed yet determined.

I know they'll win. I'm pretty sure of that. There's no way they will lose this time around.

"Shindou's team might be tough but I know you can do it!" I cheered.

"You seemed to know a lot about him. Are you good friends?" Kayano asked. I shook my head as an answer.

"He courted me for a month."

"Eh!?" I giggled at their sudden reaction.

"Yes. But I rejected him. Didn't you know that? The issue spread like wildfire." I said. They all shook their heads as a reply except for Karma who knows about it. Of course he knew, I would always talk to him about Shindou.

"I don't want to lose in the game of baseball that I love so much. Getting expelled from baseball club and coming to class E, that feeling has only become stronger. I want to form a team with these guys and win!" We turn our heads to Sugino who stood up proudly on his seat. "But well, I guess it really is impossible, Koro-sensei."

Koro-sensei's face turn into a baseball with a hat, jersey, gloves, and ... Sweets?

"I wanted to play the part of the hot blooded coach you fine in sports series, if only just once. Since I can't hit you or anything, I will flip the table instead."

"YOU'RE WAY TOO PREPARED FOR THIS!" I stood up giggling then sat on my desk.

"Sugino-kun." They all face at me. Are they all Sugino-kun?

"I can be your coach!" I leap in joy. "I could teach you all some basics and how to fight them. Shindou showed me everything that I need to know on baseball. And I want to share it to you. And the fact that baseball is my favorite sport."
