Assassin 48: Happy Birthday?

Δ Assassin 48: Third Person's PoV Δ

The next day, the Class E except for Sayuri set up a plan for Irina's belated birthday gift. Afterall, Irina wanted a gift from Karasuma but the guy is too busy that he didn't notice about Irina's birthday. Currently, they set up a plan by having different groups assigned for each task. Nagisa, Kanzaki, Kayano, Karma, Okuda, and Sugino are part of the shopping team where they'll buy a gift for Irina.

While walking Nagisa came up with a question.

"Have you heard the news last night?"

"What news?" Kayano asked.

"5 people from different places in Kunugigaoka are found dead last night. There are no any leads of the killer. They can't find a suspect or witness either. They also conclude that the same people are behind this crimes." 

"They did a job well done to cover up the scene." Karma pondered.

"But, it could possibly an assassin too right?" Okuda asked. "I mean, there are assassins out there like Rima-san who could possibly do it."

"They also stated that this people committed crimes and are wanted for a long time isn't it? So, it could be a hired assassin task for that." Sugino concluded.

"If that's the case, then Rima-ne- Rima-san could've done it." Kayano internally sighed in relief as she almost called her older cousin by what she usually calls her. 

"Apart from that, the only lead they found is a petal on each crime scene so with that, they stop the case which is surprising." Kanzaki added.

"The police probably knew who did it so they stop it." 

"Yeah, I think so."

"Hey back to the topic, hasn't Bitch-sensei pretty much gotten every kind of present there?" Sugino asked.

"This is tough huh?"

"We collected 5 thousand yen in total from the class. With this amount something from Karasuma-sensei to Bitch-sensei. A good present from one adult to another..."

A man not far from them heard their talking. 

"I knew it. Hey you guys!" They all turn to face the familiar man who has a grey hair with small eyes. "Was he alright after that? You know, that old man who hurt his leg."

They remembered him calling the ambulance from that time around.

"Well kind of. We apologize and worked for free so he forgave us." Nagisa answered.

"I'm glad it didn't turn into anything serious." He gave them a close eyed smile. "Just now you guys said something about wanting a present right? Something to give to an adult?"

"Ah, yes." The man gave a red rose to Kanzaki.

"How about this?"

"I see a flower bouquet!" Kayano exclaimed.

"Even though they wither away in just a week, they go for thousands to ten thousands of yen. It's actually more extravagant than a name brand bag. Even though you can pick from any number of presents in this day and age, even though everyone's heart is different, why do you think flowers are still the most popular gift?" 

He showed them a bouquet full of fresh and beautiful flowers.

"It's not about the heart. It's the colors and shapes, the fragrance, and the transience, it's because they're a perfect fit for the human instinct."
