Zahra's POV
I cannot believe that Ali is now my husband legally and will permanently inshallah be my husband islamically as of tomorrow. I am filled with nerves. I recall seeing him steal glances at me during the ceremony and his lips tugged into a smile as he slipped the wedding ring on my finger. His eyes were searching mine as I touched his hand for the first time, my own pupils averting his gaze.

Ali's PoV
I cannot believe that I am now legally married to Zahra. I find it even harder to believe that our nikah is tomorrow. She has attached my surname and my identity to her own, she has accepted me and I have never been so happy or grateful to God. She looked so beautiful today, like an angel, her elegant nature resembling that of a regal queen.

I came home and went to my old bedroom upstairs which had now been stripped completely as I am now sleeping in the newly furnished extension bedroom downstairs, ready for when my new wife would come home. I looked around my room and felt a sense of nostalgia. I took my blazer off and sat down on the bed as I loosened my tie around my neck. I closed my eyes and asked myself if I was truly ready to be a good husband to my future wife.

I went downstairs to see my dad sat on my bed with a big smile on his face. "Salaam baba jaan, hale shuma khobe? " I said as I gave him a hug and sat down beside him. "Aleikum salaam pisaram. Alhumdolilah merci. Che kabaar?" He replied in Farsi. "Kaabar Neast, baba Jaanum." I said as he patted me on the back. "Afreen, pisar jaan. My small Ali baba is getting married tomorrow, hey? Where did all those years go, Ah Khuda! But MashAllah you're still so cute and adorable and your baba is still young and handsome." He joked, pinching my cheeks like he did when I was little, causing me to burst into a fit of laughter.

"Very funny baba!" "What, you think I'm joking." He laughed softly. "My dear boy, are you nervous about your wedding?" "A little bit, I don't know. I just want to make sure everything is good tomorrow." "Inshallah, Ali everything will be wonderful, just trust on God, son, leave it all to Him and Him alone. And a piece of advice from me, never let a day go by without telling your wife how much she means to you and how much you love her." "Thanks baba that's good advice." "No problem." Dad left as he heard my mum calling him. I took my suit off and got into a t shirt with a pair of jeans, ready for my bachelor party tonight.

Zahra's PoV I took the beautiful white wedding dress off, got into my comfortable relaxing pyjamas and laid down in bed as I peered at my hand, now adorned with my ring
