Zahra's POV:
The next day, birds were happily chirping as they basked in the glow of Tehran's bright morning sun, singing the praise of their Lord in a hymn of their own tongue as the beautiful melodies awoke me from my deep blissful slumber.I looked at Ali's arms that had encircled themselves and entangled them around my small waist as he slept peacefully and I could feel the steady breath continuously erupting from his chest and caressing my neck as it brought me such innate sweet comfort. I snuggled closer to him and felt in my heart that all my dreams had come true and all my prayers had been answered with so many blessings bestowed upon me by God and I was forever thankful.
Suddenly I heard little soft giggles and a knock on the door. I quickly sat myself up, prying my dear husband's hands off my body in the process and wrapped a scarf loosely on my head, concealing my hair. I leaned down to kiss his cheek as some loose thin strands of hair tickled his face, brushing against him, making him smile subconsciously as I whispered in his ear softly "honey please wake up."
I gently rubbed his chest with my small dainty delicate fingers to stir him from his sleep but there was only a faint response so I retreated and rested my small frame against the vast headboard of the bed, fixing the duvet.
"Salaam, Is anyone there? Come on in, biya!" I called and immediately the door creaked open to reveal Khale Fatemah, Layla, Yusuf, Asiya and little Haya.
"Salaam dukhater jaanum. Khobe? Sorry for disturbing you dear but the children woke up and wanted to spend time with you both as soon as possible and we thought you could distract them whilst we go to prepare breakfast. I hope you don't mind." She whispered to which I nodded, smiled softly and giggled a little as the little ones began clambering already onto our large bed.
"Salaam Khobum mutashakiraam. Khobe? Bale of course Khale jaan and Khahar jaan. Me and Ali Agha will gladly take care of these little angels."
"Merci Zahra Khannum." They both replied in a whispered giggle as they heard a small snore erupt from Ali and they left towards the direction of the kitchen, closing the door behind them.
Haya smiled and sat herself on top of Ali's chest, attacking him with loving smooches and cuddles, jumping up and down until I saw him wake up, taking her completely by surprise as he sat up tickling her until she was squealing and tackling her to the bed as she was wriggling and laughing beneath him. He began blowing small raspberries on her tummy and laughed softly.
"Sobh behkhair Hayaa Jaan e Ammu." He whispered to her kissing her little cheeks and giving her cuddles. She giggled a salaam too.
"Sobh behkhair did you sleep well Ali?" I asked as I picked up Hayaa and cuddled her in my own arms.
"Sobh behkhair. Bale Eshgham. Did you?" "Yes I slept well merci." I say smiling softly blushing as I kiss Hayaa and brush my fingers through her soft light brown hair.
"Sobh behkhair Asiya khannum." Ali says chuckling at Asiya who's a little shy. "Sobh behkhair Ali Daadash." She replies smiling softly, showing off her small freshly brushed pearly whites, some of which were missing, which added to her cute innocent nature.
I see that in her small palms, Asiya is clutching a colouring book along with an array of coloured crayons of every shade of the rainbow, tightly to her chest. "Asiya jaan would you like to colour?" I say smiling at her softly and she happily sits herself down next to me and Hayaa and the three of us begin colouring in a picture of a beautiful fairy princess in shades of turquoise, purples, reds and pinks.
"Yusuf Agha biya bache." He called to Yusuf and Yusuf went to sit next to Ali as they began discussing team Meli's achievements in the football world and switched on the TV to watch their live match.
