Zahra's PoV:
As we both stepped out of Tehran's airport onto the fresh Iranian soil with the scent of Zafraan lingering in the air and my chador gently flying in the warm middle Eastern summer breeze, Ali held my hand and whispered "so Azizam, what do you think of Iran?"
I looked up into his beautiful warm brown orbs and smiled softly. "Ali, I love it, it's so beautiful and amazing." I exclaimed with excitement. Ali chuckled softly at my childlike expression of pure curiosity and enthusiasm.
"Bale Eshgham."
He looked both left and right to double check that no one was around and came a little closer to my face, my cheeks in his palms as I blushed a little and he gently kissed my lips and pecked a small kiss on my forehead before adjusting my chador on top of my headscarf and retreating again.
"Che kaar mekonee Jaan e man?"
I giggled in response to his romantic gestures as he backed away and instead held onto my hand.
"Ahh bale look who's learnt some Farsi. I'm very impressed. Afareen Azizam! And I was simply kissing my beautiful zan. In fact I want to do it again." He replied, whispering in my ear softly.
Just then a taxi pulled up in front of us and a kind looking man in his late 50s came out of the passenger seat in front, smiling as he came over to me and Ali. His features had a little resemblance to Ali if he was older.
Ali's PoV:
I smiled instantly as I saw my dad's elder brother and my favourite uncle, Ammu Ameer rush over towards me, smiling so brightly that his pearly white teeth are shining in the sunlight.
"Salaam Ammu Jaanum, Hale chitore?" I greeted my uncle joyfully as he pulled me into a tight embrace.
"Aleikum salaam bache khobe merci. Khobe?" He asked as he pulled away from me gently.
I grinned at him and replied "khobum mutashakiram Ammu Jaan."
His smile grew as he turned his attention to Zahra. Zahra smiled politely, her eyes slightly lowered, I'm guessing due to feeling slightly nervous. Ammu Ameer put his hand on her head that was concealed in her hijab and chador in a fatherly manner and she spoke softly.
"Salaam Ammu Jaan. Esm e maan Zahra, zan e Ali hastam, aaz aashnayi baa shoma khoshvaghtam. Hale shuma khobe?"
"Khobum mutashakiraam, Afireen MashAllah dukhater. Khushahmadid." He chuckled jovially.
I suddenly noticed that the taxi looked a little bit small and so realised that Zahra's electric wheelchair probably wouldn't fit in there intact with her still seated within it. I looked towards Zahra as she was making friendly light conversation with my uncle and I think she had already noticed this too as she glances in that direction and scrunches her eyebrows ever so slightly in anxiety.
Ammu Ameer pats me on the back and says in English in his thick Iranian accent "bache, let me help you put your luggage in the back of the taxi, biya."
"Ammu jaan just give me one second, I'll be there to help you get everything in the back of the taxi as some of these suitcases are a little heavy." I replied as I went and stood next to Zahra and knelt down beside her.
Zahra's PoV:
I see his eyes and I just melt into him. He has this way of reassuring me with just one glance, one smile tells me everything is good.
