you know you should not have survived that, rightSILENCE ECHOED until Glenn gasped. "Holy shit."
"Holy shit is fucking right," Izzy stated, staring at Tony's and Dave's bodies blankly. She glanced back at Jack who looked completely disgusted. He looked up at Izzy with a wide eyed look, not wanting to believe what he just saw. "You alright?" She asked him, placing a hand on his arm.
Jack swallowed thickly. "Yeah." He nodded, his eyes watering slightly at the sight of the two dead bodies. "I just... I don't understand."
Izzy sighed and placed an arm around him, frowning. She knew that he didn't like seeing humans die, but they both knew that it was something in this world that they were going to have to get used to. "I know you think it's wrong, Jack, both those asshole were worse than most monsters we run into."
Before Jack could speak up, Rick did. "Let's head back." He turned to Izzy and Jack. "You guys can come back wi—"
Izzy automatically shook her head and covered Jack's mouth before he could speak up. "No. I told you already, we're fine on our own."
She grabbed Jack, and as they went towards towards the door, the sound of a car approaching made them panic.
"Car! Get down!"
Izzy, Jack, Rick, and Glenn all ducked beneath a set of windows as Hershel ducked behind the bar
"Dave? Tony?" A man questioned from outside the bar, making Izzy get tensed all over again. She put a finger up to her mouth, inaudibly telling Jack to stay quiet. She brought out her hand gun from her waistband and nodded at Rick who had also brought out his gun. "They said over here?"
"Yeah," another man answered.
"I'm telling you man, I heard shots," a third man joined in.
"I saw roamers — two streets over. Might be more around here," the first man informed the others.
"It's hot, we gotta get out of here."
"Dave! Tony!" The third man yelled. Izzy sat up straighter and Rick stared at her, worried. He wasn't a hundred percent sure if he trusts her to not take this opportunity to take him and his group out.
"Shut up, you idiot! You wanna attract 'em? Just stick close, we're gonna find 'em." Retreating footsteps were then heard, making the group slowly relax.
Seconds later, Rick slowly stood up and glanced out the window before they quickly crawled over to Hershel who was peeking around the bar.
"Why won't they leave?" Glenn questioned in a whisper.
"Would you?" Izzy fired at him, her voice quiet and steady, unlike their's. She has been through worse, so she wasn't that worried about a couple thugs. "We need to leave before they use force to come in." She glanced over at Jack. She would do anything for him to not see more people die, he's already scarred as is. When she went to grab Jack, a loud gun shot made everyone pause.
