if you're gonna be stupid, you might as well be smart about it"HEY!"
Izzy swiveled around and smiled at the people who was yelling out her name.
Ever since Rick had brought the Woodbury people, It's actually been quite nice, and brought a new perspective to everyone. It was like a new beginning. They had started to go out and recruit people.
Usually, it's just consist of Daryl and Izzy who would go out and try to find new people who had survived this apocalyptic world. But, every once in awhile, a fairly big group would go out together.
"I saw you first," A familiar gruff voice spoke and she turned around to stare into deep, georgian blue eyes. To say that his eyes were blue was like saying that the sun was yellow. Sufficient but not accurate to capture the burning.
Izzy looked up at him, her brown eyes narrowed due to the sun beaming down on her. "To be fair, Rick saw me first," she said, glancing out onto the field where Rick was, shirtless. Even from this distance, she couldn't help but admire his build.
Daryl grunted, not liking the way Izzy was looking at his best friend. He wanted her to look at him and no one else, and he didn't care how possessive that sounded. She is the first girl he has ever paid enough attention to and end up liking, so he didn't take it lightly when he would see her flirting with other men, even if it was just for fun.
Izzy bit her bottom lip and looked up at Daryl, completely oblivious of his feelings. "Anyway, how are you? I haven't seen you all day. I miss you."
Daryl shrugged, taking a piece of bacon off of a plate on the table that was near them. "Just been gettin' ready for the run later."
Izzy nodded, taking a piece of bacon, as well. "I wish I could come, but I have another training session with the kids later, so. . ." She trailed off, finishing off the bacon. "I will see you off though. Don't think you'll be able to leave without receiving one of my rare hugs." She grinned, looking up at him with mischief shining in her eyes.
Daryl couldn't help but give her one of his rare smiles. He couldn't help but to smile when around her because she gives off this certain vibe that just makes you feel lighter and like the world hasn't ended. Though, he knew she held pain deep within those gorgeous brown irises and that bright, big smile. He could see it clear as day even though she tries to hide it.
The brunette ran a hand through her long, luscious brown hair, her gaze falling from Daryl and to the people around her. "I'm so glad that we brought those people back here, it lighten's up the place and make's it feel like a family reunion of some sorts." She then frowned at her own words.
