Brendons pov

Ryan was sitting on a chair, tied on it. My heart started to race and I had to gulp loudly. He lifted his head, looking right into my eyes.

He was alive.

But his eyes weren't.

He was in pain, that's what I knew for sure and I wanted to get to him as fast as I could. I wanted to hug him, to tell him he's alright.

Mr. Stanley smiled wickedly and made his way into the small room and of course I followed him.

I immediatly ran to Ryan, with worried eyes. He was surprised but he didn't have to power to show anything of it.

He just stared.

I thought he was going to cry, be happy or show any kind of emotion.

But his face was blank, causing my heart to crush into thousands of pieces.

"Ryan?", I whispered, causing his eyes to glimmer slightly. This glim told me he was happy to see me, and it made my eyes become watery.

"Lets see who we have here", Mr. Stanley said, his loud footsteps crashing dull against the ground, making me flinch.

"I thought you would be awake by now", he said, sitting down on a chair in front of Ryan, "Did you see it coming that it was me all along?"

Ryan shook his head slightly, causing mr. Stanley to let out a small chuckle.

"That's what I thought", he said, "but I mean, Mr. Hollow is the creepy, old, mysterious guy. He's perfect for the role of the murderer. And I was just the shy neighbour who loves his garden and the flowers, how could I ever be so cruel?"

Ryan looked on the ground again, his hands turning into fists.

"Hey, hey! Don't be angry at me, sooner or later we all have to run into the arms of death, that's natural, Ryan. Do you really think someone will care?", Mr. Stanley asked, narrowing his eyes at Ryan who stayed quiet. He leaned forward slightly to see the boy better in front of him.

"That's what I thought", Mr. Stanley said, leaning back again, "your parents are always busy, you have barely friends. One person less on this earth doesn't matter (small disclaimer. This isn't right, I'm just writing for Mr. Stanley, so don't take this seriously. You count. Every One counts and we all matter, never forget that :)."

Anger was building up in myself, my hands turned into fists.
But it stopped slightly when Mr. Stanley started to laugh out of nowhere.

"You know this Brendon guy, right?", he asked, still laughing, "he was an easy one for me, you were a bit difficult."

Ryan narrowed his eyes and my face started to soften a bit.

He was an easy one.

This thought was running wild in my mind, destroying everything that held me away from panicking.

"You weren't. I thought that I could catch you when you and your friends were in the forest but unfortunately Mr. Hollow got in my way and you ran. I thought it was going to end with you when you heard the scream coming from the woods. I believed you would follow me. That's what you wanted to do, I know you Ryan, but something held you against it. Like some guard watching over you, keeping me away from you", he chuckled, "but now I got you, now you're here and you can't escape, don't even think of it."

Ryan's breathing hitched up and I laid my hand over his to calm him down.

"So... wanna hear more about Brendon? I think I should tell you how I got him..."
