I Have Her

Your POV:

The game did actually end up ending in a draw.

"Holy shit you were right." Amanda laughed. "Now you're getting free drinks!" 

"Holy shit." I stared at the field. 

"The phrase of the day." Kailen laughed. 

"Stop laughing you're coming with me."

"Um no the fuck I'm not!"

"Babe." I pointed at her. "You are coming with me."

"No. This is your fault. You called them over."

"You're really gonna pass up free drinks?" Amanda asked her.

"Yeah, really Kailen?" Rocky laughed. 

"Fine!" Kailen sighed. "Who else is coming?" She looked at her team.

"Oh no. You two have fun with the murder twins. We are NOT joining." 

"Well then. It's just you and me. Let's go meet the murder twins? Amanda why."

"It felt right in the moment." 

We walked to find the twins. "She said their box like we're supposed to know where that is?"

"Yes." 

"Son of a bitch!" Kailen jumped.

"Hey look. There's their box." I laughed. "Good job Kailen." 

"You were right." Monique smiled.

"I was. Stop smiling like that we're very nervous." 

"Relax. We're friendly."

"Really?"

"I've seen what you guys do to Canadians. Friendly isn't the world I'd use."

"True but we're feeling nice today. Come in." Jocelyne smiled. "This is our team." 

"They're staring at us." Kailen whispered.

Hilary glared at us. "Canadians." 

"Jesus Christ how did she know." Kailen gasped.

"You're wearing your team Canada beanie, babe." I sighed.

"Oh right." Kailen giggled. 

"She's" Monique stared.

"Yeah." I finished. 

"Well, we promised drinks, so let's go!" Jocelyne clapped.

We left the stadium. They got me and Kailen too drinks each. 

"Not drinking?" Kailen asked Monique.

"No." She answered. 

"Why not?"

"Drank too much after the gold medal. Still trying to recover." 

"Seems legit." 

"When does your season start?" Monique asked.

"We're in preseason right now," I answered. "I'm supposed to be in Utah but SOMEONE wanted me to come to the game today."

"You loved me once," Kailen said.

"You have no proof." I looked at the twins. "What's it like to play in the Olympics?"

They started telling us about it. It was interesting to hear about the Winter Olympics since Kailen and I play a sport for the summer ones.

I looked at my phone. "Shit. I have to be at the airport."

"You're leaving already?" Kailen pouted.

"Preseason." I looked at her. "Training, games, trying to make a good impression on my new team so I don't get traded 40 times again!" 

"We'll drive you." Jocelyne said.

They drove me back to the airport. Kailen told them to leave cause she wanted to sit with me. 

"What?" I said after sitting in silence.

"I do love you."

"I know you do." I smiled. 

"You love me right?"

"So much it hurts me cause my heart doesn't know what to do with all that love." 

She laughed. "We'll get through this season."

"We're badass athletes and a couple of crazy Canadian kids in love. We got this." I looked at my phone. "I gotta go." I kissed her and stood up. 

Kailen's POV:

"Call me when you land."

"I know the drill."

I watched her disappear in the crowd. 

This season is gonna be a ride, but I have her.

I've been working on a script for a movie and I kind of want to turn it into a story and post it on here. Is anyone interested in that? Also, I wrote a short story for my creative writing class, I might post that on here as well if everyone is interested in that.
