Broken Wings

Chapter 26

The house wasn't very far , so if I didn't enjoy and decided to go back it won't be difficult for me at all .
The place was too crowded yet too beautiful , a very big house of white stones , decorated in a very modern way ,  Christmas decorations is making it even prettier.
Half of the people were already drunk when we came in , all dressed up beautifully.
A young man wearing a black suit grabbed Stacey and kissed her hand , Apparently this was Drake.

" Lisa , I want you to meet Drake . Drake this is Lisa , my childhood bestie "

I smiled at her , and looked at Drake .
" It is really nice to meet you Drake , you're a very lucky guy trust me "

He smiled at me , and kindly asked me if he can take Stacey for few minutes so she can meet his sister .
Stace looked at me as if she  wanted to make sure that I'll be fine and I reassured her .

I started walking between the crowds , trying to find something to drink . There was a small bar at the corner of the living room I went there and was happy to see them serving red wine which was my favorite especially during Christmas season .
I grabbed a glass and went upstairs , when I  first  reached the second floor I felt a hand grabbing me by my waist, I turned to see Jacob in front of me .

" You look so  gorgeous and sexy " he said highly. 

" thank you !! " I replied with a smile .

The music was too loud that I could barely hear him . He was telling me something and I was nodding pretending that I understood what he was saying ,  he grabbed my hand and took me to the dance floor , so obviously he was inviting  me to dance .

We started to dance but something was wrong with him , I think that he's getting drunk .

" You have no idea how much I wanted to kiss you when we were dancing together in class " . He whispered in my ear .

I didn't reply , didn't know what to say . I am not really good in such situations. Instead of replying to him , I was instead remembering Alexander and the way he was looking at me that day , then the dance and the kiss , It was all like a dream to me .

I was starting to feel uncomfortable, Jacob's hands were all over my body touching me as if he wants something from me right now and I am not having the same feeling at all .
I apologized politely and told him that I needed to use the restrooms , grabbed my glass of wine and disappeared between the crowds.

The way guys were looking at me was disturbing , I should've had stayed with Stacey not by myself . My only concern now was to find her or the nearest exit and have some fresh air .

I was starting to feel dizzy from the crowds and loud music , when I finally saw a balcony behind the bar so I went straight outside and closed the door behind me .

It was really  cold but I didn't care , the view of the lake behind the house was extremely beautiful . I rested my arm on the railing and drank my wine hoping to feel a bit warmer.
The sky was full of stars , when everyone else was partying I was enjoying the beautiful view , and listening to some piano music that I have on my phone , thinking about everything that has happened to me the past year , my mom , Ben , Alexander . It's true when they say a lot can happen within a year.

" Elizabeth?"

My heart jumped at the sound of this voice , a very familiar voice , I almost dropped the glass from my hand . I turned my face scared from what I was going to see.
Am I dreaming? Or this is him standing right behind me .

" Alexander?"

We both looked at each other not knowing what to say , as if this was the last thing expected for tonight. He looked very handsome , he was wearing a navy suit with a coat and scarf. His perfume is going to kill me one day it was like a drug to me .
