Part 7: Oscar Ozpin

YN's POV
We all stared at Oscar, Ozpin? We were all still shocked after hearing that this farm boy is technically Ozpin. He came into the house and sat down as Qrow got up and stumbled into the kitchen followed by dad. We all sat down and took a breath. Oscar chuckled nervously "Soo, uhh I assume you have some que-" he was cut off by everyone bombarding him with their questions.

"Did he age backwards!?" Nora asked

"He's possessed!" Jaune exclaimed

"Or reincarnated!" Ren said

"Is it possible that this kid was in an Ozpin robot suit the entire time!?" I asked

"No his voice is too different. It might be like a mind transfer thing!" Maple said

"Oh, Isn't it weird!?" Ruby asked

Without noticing it we had all crowded around him staring at him curiously Oscar looked down shyly "It is very weird, yes" he said

"Okay, Okay, Okay. Let's all just take a second to remember this is very overwhelming for everyone" Qrow said walking out of the kitchen with dad completely sober

We all looked at Oscar and stepped away chuckling nervously. I looked up at Qrow "You sure sobered up quickly"

"When you drink as much as I do you start to build a tolerance to it" Qrow responded

"Pretty sure that's not how it works but, whatever" I shrugged

We all took seats on the couches as Oscar turned back Qrow thanking him. Ruby and Oscar looked at each other and Ruby giggles. Oscar looked away "Ah Sorry! It's just I've never really met Huntsmen and Huntresses before" He said shyly

"Uh well... We've never met a person with two souls so, first times all around" Ruby shrugged

"Didn't Blake read about a guy with two souls?" I asked looking at Ruby

"I think so" She shrugged again

"Not to break up the whole 'getting to know you' game but we need to have a talk. Mind showing us your little parlour trick, kid?" Qrow said looking at Oscar

Oscar sighed and nodded "Ok. Just so you know. I'll still be here" he said as we looked at each other confused

He took a breath and closed his eyes as his head was thrown back and there was a small whooshing noise as he reopened his eyes and looked at all of us "It is so very good to see you again, students" he said as there was a slight distortion to his voice

We all looked at each other confused "Wait. What just happened?" Jaune asked

"Professor...Ozpin?" Ren asked

"Correct, And though I may be the one speaking Oscar is still present, mentally he merely handed over control, so to speak. I'm afraid this all must be very perplexing"

Nora jumped in on the conversation "And alarming and bizarre and just really kind of hard to believe overall!" She said

Ozpin chuckled "It's good to see your children still have your sense of humor. You've all been through hardship already. I'm sorry" he said

"I mean, it's not your fault" Ruby said

"It's all my fault. I told you once that I made more mistakes than any man, woman or child on this planet, and I wasn't exaggerating. I'm... Cursed. For thousands of years I've been walking the surface of Reminant. living, dying, reincarnating in the body of a like-minded soul. The Professor Ozpin you all met was not my first form and clearly wasn't my last. It's an... extraordinarily strenuous process on everyone involved" Ozpin explained
