After family dinner, Reagan and I had the house to ourselves for a couple hours. Mom and dad had a date night night scheduled in every month, which I'll admit is cute, and they were going out for dessert and a movie. I was in charge of Reagan, but he was pretty easy to take care of. He was basically a goody-two-shoes and had finished his homework already, so now he was allowed to watch his favorite movie, Toy Story. No way were we going to have time for the series of the movies, though, which is what he originally had wanted.
I microwaved some popcorn and scooped out some Neapolitan ice-cream for our late-night snacks. Reagan was pretty content on the couch watching the movie and snacking away in his pajamas, so I decided to do my own thing for a bit.
I had finally accepted Christian's 'friend request' online after our time at the coffeehouse. Making big moves, I know (sarcasm). I skimmed through some of his pictures on my laptop and he honestly seemed like a really cool guy. He had a few pictures of what seemed to be him and his dad and his grandpa fishing, and he had a lot of family pictures from weddings and one of him and a sweet-looking dog.
I like dogs, I thought. I rolled my eyes at myself for being so cheesy. I liked the fact that he didn't have a bunch of selfies like some of the guys at my last school, just one or two goofy ones.
I was so intent on Christian's profile that I jumped a bit when my phone buzzed in my hand. The username flashed across the screen and the user was named Clara. I opened the message right away, curiously.
It read: Just to let you know, newbies don't get the guy. Christian isn't the guy for you, so back off. Xx.
