I'm heading out to the lot after school to head to my second shift at the coffee shop. Today will mostly be training for the job again, I think. I'm worried about Christian and am planning to text him to see how it went the rest of the day. He never came back to first period and he wasn't at lunch. Did he get sent home? None of the guys knew what was up but I filled them in on the black eye and going to the nurse's office together.

I get to Robin when I realize I left my black tennis back at the women's locker rooms for gym earlier. Ugh. I have to go back in and grab them for work.

I'm back at the locker room when I hear some noise and giggling. It sounds oddly like Clara's voice. I tilt my head inside the door to peek at what's going on in there before I just awkwardly walk in on the scene. A muscular, tall dude, wearing Jersey 30, is in the women's locker area making out with Clara. I see him pinning her against the wall playfully as she keeps running her hands along his arms and back. Gross, I saw enough! I don't need my shoes that badly. Before I leave, I get a bright idea. I decide to pull out my phone and film them for a few seconds - this could be good leverage in the future. As soon as I stop recording, I book it out of there and head to my shift, wearing my sandals - oh well. I think it'll be worth it . . .

...............................

On my drive over the Full Mug, I couldn't help but be upset - I ask myself why Clara won't leave Christian and I alone now since it seems she's so into Brock. She just wants Christian 'cause she says so, cause she craves the attention. She can't have both. She can't have Christian. I have to table my thoughts if I'm going to be paying attention at training today. But it's heavy on my chest.

..............................

I'm back home and once upstairs, I worked on my laptop doing homework. It didn't take long for Reagan to come upstairs and plop down next to me on my bed. "Do you want to go do something fun?" he asked. "Didn't you just get to go to your friend's house after school?" I asked him while multi-tasking on my work. "So?" he asked. "How long are you going to be busy?" I rubbed his hair until it was messy. He looked at me, annoyed. He hated that. "Just give me an hour and then we can do whatever you want," I promised.

I quick decided to call Christian since I was apparently going to be booked for the rest of the evening soon. He picked up on the third ring.

Christian answered, "Hey, what's up? Tyler and Monty and I are chilling at my house."

I replied, "Hey, that sounds fun. You sound like you're doing okay. What happened? Where were you all day?

He paused a moment, "Yeah, I got sent home from the nurse's office after telling them the gist of what happened.

"Why?!" I ask, bewildered. "You didn't do anything wrong. He punched you."

As far as I know, Brock got sent home too. There's a zero-violence tolerance at the school and since I was involved, I got suspended for a week with a warning. It sucks. My parents don't know yet. But at least the guys are here chilling.

I scoff, "That's stupid. Anyway, why wasn't I invited?"

"It's boys night, sorry," he teased.

"Well, that's too bad, I've got some juicy details for you guys."

Christian hesitates, "Do I really want to know?"

"Yes," I say.

Christian: "Hold on, lemme put you on speaker so the guys can hear."

Monty and Tyler: "Hey, what's up Avalon?"

Me: "Hey. So guys, today I saw Clara and Jersey 30 making out in the women's locker-room."

Christian: "Oh, I knew I didn't want to know."

Monty: "Bahahaha, oh I feel so bad you had to see that!"

Tyler: "Dude, what the heck?!"

Me: "Is she always like that? Just making out with whoever? I have to wipe my memory slate."

Christian: "Jersey 30 is Brock. AKA the guy that blackened my eye."

Me: "ARE YOU SERIOUS!? YA'LL'S FOOTBALL CAPTAIN?"

Christian: "Unfortunately, yes. One of her exes, remember?

Monty: "Since when do you say 'ya'll?'"

Me: "Since now. Since I feel like it, Monty! Anyway, let's hope she leaves you and me alone then, if Brock and her are happy."

All three of them: "Doubt it."

We hang up shortly thereafter. The boys hadn't given me much hope that Clara was going to leave me be. I wasn't going to let her keep shoving me around - especially when she didn't even know what she wanted! She didn't deserve Christian, at all. I'm glad he finally realized that.
