13: Stay Quiet (3)

Back in the Land of the Three headed lion, Xu Min was standing on a hill, overlooking upon the dead bodies that he and his other subordinate had slayed.

He fixed his darkened eyes on the man that bowed to him, afraid of rising his eyes to meet Xu Min's because Xu Min's eyes were too terrifying for even a well trained elder like him to match up to.

Not to mention the heaven defying skills this man has that he could literally slay an entire army by just a wave of his hand.

That's how ridiculous and powerful Xu Min is.

The elder knew that he would not walk out of this land alive and in a whole and that he will have the same fate as his soldiers and disciples that had been mercilessly killed off by Xu Min and his subordinate.

Chi Wan, the subordinate of Xumin, spoke in a voice that scared the wits out of the elder. "Where is the Phoenix seal?"

The elder's eyes widened at the question because as much as he was scared of Xu Min, he was trained to not let a single information about the Phoenix seal to be spread.

He was trained for the sole purpose of keeping the direction of where the Phoenix Seal safe because the Phoenix Seal can be dangerous if its put into the wrong hands.

He didn't want Xu Min to become more powerful than he already is because that would mean that his entire home would be destroyed within a second.

Afterall, the Emperor, of the palace he's in, is a greedy man that only wants power even if it means making his own children perish. He was ruthless at gaining his position and this is why his palace is something that the many other palaces did not dare to provoke.

The Phoenix Seal is the most prized treasure that he's owned for keeping the palace safe and to ensure that he keeps his throne, its also a way at keeping the other palaces from provoking him because having the Phoenix Seal means that you are able to go to a different dimension to cultivate, it will help your cultivation a lot and it captures the civillian's eyes burning with envy.

But, of course, they had no heart to actually dare to provoke the wrath of the Emperor because he was known for doing the cruelest things, even slaving his own children, what more to them, strangers?

Noticing the elder remain quiet, Chi Wen raised his hand to slap him but Xu Min immediately raised his own to motion for Chi Wen to not do what he's about to do.

Chi Wen, although begrudgingly, followed Xu Min's orders without complaint for even he was afraid of defying his own Lord's commands.

Xu Min clenched his hand into a fist and pulled the elder to him, the elder, unable to comprehend what was happening, froze and his forehead broke into small balls of sweat.

The elder landed on the floor in an instant, his knees hit the floor and more blood spilled out for he had a wound there but he remained quiet, not daring to make any sound because from the stories that came from the mouth of others, Xu Min doesn't like when people are too noisy.

He, at least, wanted to be killed quickly and not feeling pain but he doubt it would happen to him, he knew that Xu Min will torture him to get the answers he seeks.

Xu Min stayed noiseless for a couple of minutes and even the elder thought he wasn' there anymore but before he can raise his head to look, a frightening voice erupted from above
him.

"This is the pain you wont forget." Xu Min's deep voice declared, what he said made the elder confused.

He wanted to ask what it meant but before he can do so, a burst of pain erupted from his mind going into his whole body, the pain was something that even he couldn't handle.

When he lost his arm, he didn't even cry in anguish but this pain was something beyond what his mind can even comprehend.

His skin was rotting from the inside but it felt like his body was being boiled to death, his organs were being twisted and his eyes felt like there was something pulling it out of his head. There was also a feeling of a knife slowly cutting through his skin and slowly letting him feel the pain.

It was the most torturous experience he's had in his entire life.

Something he wont forget indeed.

The whole Land was covered in the sounds of the elders' howling that even scared the black birds into digging themselves into a hole just to cover his screams.

His crazed yelling reverbrated throughout the place where he, Xu Min and Chi Wen was at and it made Chi Wen question if it can be heard even from hundreds of miles away from them.

"I--" the elder struggled to say. "--will tell you! J-Just make it stop!"

At his answer, Xu Min clicked his fingers and the pain vanished as if it wasn't there at all. All they saw was the elder lying on the floor with pools of sweat.

Chi Wen secretly sighed in relief because that was the most horrifying thing he saw for a century, even he was pressured into bowing when Xu Min released his power unto the pitiful elder.

He almost felt sorry for the elder.

The elder was too tired to even move from his position so he was still layig there, he spent all his energy on trying to, at least, lessen the pain but it was no use.

"Speak."

"T. . .The Phoenix Seal is within the hands of the Emperor of my palace." He automatically answered without wasting anymore time because he didn't want to experience that kind of pain again.

No matter how loyal someone is, when put into a dangerous situation, they will still attempt to fly away even though they're wingless.

After the elder finished what he was saying, Xu Min looked at Chi Wen and he immediately got the message. He walked over to the elder and whispered to him.

"You're lucky." Chi Wen thrusted the sword into the elder's chest, completely startling the elder. "To die quick."

Chi Wen pulled out his sword from the elder's body and washed it off with water, he didn't want his sword to smell like blood because it only reminded him of a painful memory revolving his home being invaded and his whole family being annihilated.

His grip on the sword tightened at the memory of his parents dying before his eyes, even now, he was still unaware of who invaded his home. But luckily, before he was killed by the hands of those people, Xu Min swooped in in time and saved him from not exacting his revenge among those people.

So this was why he was loyal to Xu Min and even if it costed him his life, he would always protect his saviour.

He was also thankful for Xu Min for teaching him cultivation and now he grew and he was a man not to be trifled with, he didn't exactly enjoy the scared expression on everyone but it did make his job a lot easier.

Xu Min waved his hand and the bodies that littered on the floor disappeared, not even a single blood was present. The once bloody land returned to its state before the massacre happened.

He grabbed the handkerchief from his robe and cleaned his hands with it then he looked at the horizon and looked forward to going home to Lu Miyan.
