The red leaves of the trees continued to fall to the ground because of the strong wind that blew past it, the moon shone on the pavement of the road and also at the man that was running to the direction of the Jue family's estate.

Letting out a deep breath, the servant stepped in front of the Jue Family's estate with sweat dripping from his forehead.
A guard halted him from his path and raised his chin in displeasure at the servant that wore an old brown robe that had dirt and open gaps in it, it was certainly something that made the guard become arrogant.
"You are not allowed to enter, get out of here."
The servant rummaged through his tattered robe and revealed a coin that had the name of the Imperial palace carved into it, he showed it to the conceited guard and the guard immediately felt as if his face was slapped.
He scampered over to the servant and sucked up to him, he even changed the tone of his voice, from boastful to endearing words, deluding himself into thinking that the servant might say some few good words in the palace.
"Good sir, i'm sorry for my attitude but i just had a tough day." He laughed nervously and opened the gate of the estate. "The Old Master Jue will be coming shortly at you."
The servant only dipped his head and slowly entered the estate, he was clutching the coin tightly because he didn't really want to be blamed if he was caught conspiring with the Crown prince.
But he had no choice but to follow the Crown prince's orders for the sake of him and his family. It was known in the palace that anyone who defies the Crown prince's orders would be beheaded.
Of course, this information was only among the people in the palace and no news of their malicious deeds are leaked to the whole kingdom so the citizens of the kingdom thought that the Imperial palace is fair and good.
Anyone who tried to speak about this secret are found out and they disappear, never to be seen, not even their bodies if they were dead. Many assumed they were and they were beheaded like the ones who defies.
The servant was about to knock to the door when it suddenly opened, with the Young Master Jue waiting for him.
Jue Lin was the first born of the Jue clan and was the descendant of the Old Master Jue Shi and his concubine, Mei Cang. Unlike the Lu Clan, the Jue Clan is serene and everyone in the clan respects the Old Master's decisions and also have the same mentality.
They were a close second to the Lu Family's power and wealth, they strived for the day that they can finally step on the Lu Family with their feet and make them beg for them.
The Jue family and the Lu family has had a bad interaction in the past because they fought for the position as the first clan of the Kang Kingdom, they were in bad terms when the father of the current king hasm l announced the ranking of the families of the Kang Kingdom thus creating war between them.
Jue Lin was fairly handsome but when compared to the descendant of the Lu Family, Lu Zhiyan, he was inferior to him. This was one of the reasons why the Lu Family is the first family and why the Jue family hated them more.
Jue Lin smiled warily at the servant but invited him in, he led the servant to the living room where the Old Master Jue was currently sitting, awaiting for the appearance of the servant.
The servant bowed down in respect to the Old Master Jue which surely satisfied him. "Greetings, Old Master Jue. The Crown prince has passed me a message that will benefit you greatly." The servant was well accustomed to passing down messages from the Crown prince since he was always assigned to do the job and so he grew to intrigue the Masters.
"What does the Crown prince want? " The Old Master acknowledged the servant's words.
"The Crown prince wants the Old Master Jue to deal with the Fifth Miss of the Lu family." The servant repeated the words of the Crown prince monotonously. "The Old Master Jue will receive rewards for accomplishing the task."
The Old Master Jue rubbed his white beard and contemplated, he turned to his eldest son and asked for his opinion. "My son, Jue Lin, what do you think?"
"Father, there would be rewards that will surely make us the first family of the Kang Kingdom, not only that but we would finally get rid of that good-for-nothing."
The Old Master Jue praised him in a caring way. "My son is really intelligent." He turned to the servant. "Very well, tell the Crown prince that i will prepare."
The servant bowed down and thanked the Old Master for accepting the request, even though he knew that the Jue family wouldn't be able to resist such a deal, the servant was still unsure because the Old Master Jue must be upset about the Crown prince having a marriage with the Lu Family's fourth miss that secured the spot of the Lu Family's position.
Because of this, the servant thought that the Old Master Jue would reject because of the upcoming marriage between his rival and the Crown prince but luckily, he seemed to not hold it out for the Crown prince and still agreed.
It made the servant's job easier.
"Father, are you not upset about the Crown prince having an engagement with Lu An'yu?" Jue Lin asked curiously at his father that was sipping on his tea.
The Old Master Jue rubbed his beard in habit. "I am."
"So why did you accept?"
The Old Master Jue turned away from him and looked at the servant that was talking to the arrogant guard and simply gave a short answer to Jue Lin. "We get more benefits from doing it."
Jue Lin wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but he wasn't also stupid to believe the rumors, he was just a bit inexperienced since he grew up in the spoiling care of his mother and his father.
So he inquired for more details from his father. "What benefits?"
"The Lu Family may have Lu An'yu to be engaged with the Crown prince but they will lose the position as the top family of the Kang Kingdom and also lose their Fifth Miss, if news travel to Lu Zhiyan about his deceased sister, it will surely devastate him and he will fall into a pit of depression which will gain us an advantage." The Old Master slowly explained to Jue Lin and when he finished, Jue Lin's eyes brightened because of the greed.
He exclaimed. "Father! We must eliminate that useless woman to achieve our goal!"
The Old Master held him down because Jue Lin started getting up from his seat, Jue Lin looked at him confused as to why he's restricting him from forming a plan. The Old Master shook his head.
"No, we must not act rashly. We must wait for the Crown prince's orders."
"B-But Father--"
The Old Master Jue knew that Jue Lin didn't understand why they needed to wait for the Crown prince's orders so he diverted the topic to the young sister of Jue Lin.
"Jue Lin, check on Jue Lan for me."
Jue Lin's attention shifted to his young sister and he stood up to walk out of the door, leaving the Old Master Jue in the living room.
