Quick And Decisive
"Look at who do we have here, Shelly Clarkson." He smirked at me, causing me to clench my fists tightly. Surprisingly, I wasn't fear of him. Instead, I just wanted to beat him into a pulp for raping me and causing me to have nightmares every now and then.
"Get away from me before I do something that I will regret." I spoke through gritted teeth. My teeth seethed in anger as I felt my blood boil. I watched as fear flickered across his eyes before it was gone.
He feared of me for a moment. It was enough for me to know that.
He folded his arms casually as if trying to aggravate me. Raising an eyebrow at me, he smirked again. I just wished that I could wipe that annoying smirk off his face.
"So, what would you do to me? You won't, because your poor little mother will be so devastated." He mocked, making me curl my hand into a fist as I sent him a few punches and kicks.
My eyes turned into dark shades of red as I continuously assaulted him like there was no tomorrow. I screamed as I vented my frustrations on him.
It was because of him that I was raped. It was because of him that I had nightmares. It was because of him that I couldn't accept Nathaniel when the first time I saw him. It was because of him that every sh*t that have happened to me happened.
I hate him. I hate him.
It wasn't until when blood splattered from the created wounds when I decided to stop. I was running against the time to seek help from Jace and I couldn't waste anymore time on this man. To me, he was nothing at all. Just a past that will soon be rewritten.
I leaned in with the coldest, emotionless eyes as I stared straight into his soul. "Listen up, old man. I will let you off for now. But try me. Try me again and I won't hesitate to kill you." I warned, growling in anger.
I felt a small nod from him before I wiped away the blood stains on my knuckles. Even the sight of his blood makes me feel so dirty.
I got up to be met with Jace's horrified expression as he glanced at us both. "Even though we were once best friends, I don't tolerate fights. Especially in front of the pack house." He sighed.
"Alpha Jace, I don't have time to talk about that. I came here as the Luna of Gazelle Pack to seek help from your pack." At the mention of Luna of Gazelle Pack, many mouths started murmuring as they gossiped about me. I don't care anyways.
I watched as his eyes softened before he nodded, motioning towards his office. "Let's talk in my office, Luna Shelly." And with that, I stepped over him with a satisfactory smile tugged on my lips before following right behind him.
He handed me a bowl of warm water and a towel as he motioned towards my knuckles. I gave him a grateful smile and proceeded to clean the blood stains. "You okay?" He asked, making me glance up. He was now the best friend that I had years ago. I suddenly felt Déjà Vu in the pit of my stomach.
I missed him.
"Yeah I am fine, Jace." I sighed, looking down as I cleaned my knuckles. "About just now, he-" I cut him off immediately, releasing another sigh.
"Can we just drop that topic and continue with my request?" I pleaded with a look that he immediately understand. He doesn't know about my past. Even until today, I still don't want to let him know about it.
"Alright, Luna Shelly. What brings you here?" He asked, instantly switching to a serious tone. I inwardly sighed as he was still the Jace, I once knew. He knows when to be serious and when not. Still the same old Jace.
"Rihawth Pack is currently having a war with my pack, Gazelle Pack. Our pack have to deal with the war as well as to protect me from being killed because that is what the Alpha's daughter, Christina wanted. I came here to get manpower from your pack because I really can't sit and do nothing." I sighed in frustration.
I looked at him to see him staring back at me. He seemed to be deep in thought. After a while, he nodded. "Is my team of forty elite warriors enough for you?" His words instantly made me smile gratefully.
"But, I need a promise that your pack will not wage a war against ours if your pack wins this war. A week before this war happened, Rihawth Pack approached us to sign an isolation agreement with them. We are supposed to side with no one, but I have decided to side with your pack because of you." He added, making me nod my head.
"Okay, I promise." I reassured, slapping his back as I smiled at him.
And with that, he froze slightly as he mind-linked the warriors. I got up and headed out of his office as I made my way to the exit of the pack house.
Very soon, forty of his elite warriors reported in front of me as each and everyone of them were armed with body armors and weapons.
Alpha Jace emerged from behind and stood straight as he gazed at his warriors proudly. "I have called upon the forty of you with the motive to participate in the war against Rihawth pack. The forty of you will be following the Luna of Gazelle Pack in this war."
"What?" The devil interrupted. My eyebrows creased in annoyance as I glared at him. His face paled in seconds under my menacing glare. Yet, the determination in his eyes never once wavered.
"Even if you were to beat me into a pulp again, I will still object you to lead our elite warriors in the war against Rihawth Pack. You are still young, you don't know anything about the war."
"But I am sure each and everyone one of them do. They just have to fight and win this war, isn't it old man?" I smirked before turning my gaze to the forty of them.
"I may still be young but I know each and everyone of you here are veterans when it comes to war. So, I plead for all of you to follow me to fight in this war against Rihawth Pack. Though it is a meaningless war, but I want to stop anymore deaths and bloodsheds from continuing." I bowed sincerely, really hoping that they will not object.
I really needed their help, more than anything.
This was my final hope to help Nathaniel.
