Pulling me back
I felt someone tucked the duvets over me before a hand gently caressed my cheeks. My eyes slowly opened, finding a blurry vision leaning in to kiss my forehead.
"Get some sleep, babe." The familiar voice ringed in my ears, feeling a hand tenderly tucked strands of hair behind my ears.
Before long, after hearing the door closed, I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

I woke up, stifling a yawn. I lifted my hands as I gently massaged my temples. Shifting to one side, my eyes widened at the figures shown on the digital clock.
Damn, I was late for classes because I had drank too much yesterday. I could never kick that habit no matter how hard I try.
Dragging my feet to the bathroom, I stretched my limbs while my fingers rubbed my sleepy eyes. Standing in front of the mirror, my eyes were fixed on the new, pink toothbrush in the plastic cup paired along with his blue toothbrush.
A small note was pasted against the cup, my lips curled as I picked it up to read. 'A pink toothbrush for you, a blue toothbrush for me. Check the closet for the next surprise.'
Stepping out of the bathroom with a towel stuck against my wet skin, I opened the doors of the closet to find another small note pasted against a plastic hanger with a t-shirt hung on it.
The design on it was a chocolate bar. Strange.
'Chocolate doesn't ask questions, chocolate understands. Wear it to school when you are coming later.'
I looked up, looking past the full-length mirror as I looked at my own reflection. Flattening the t-shirt, I tucked my hands into my pocket with a satisfied smile replacing my resting face.
My feet moved briskly as I walked past the living room to the kitchen. A net-like cover was covered on top of a large platter and strangely, an orange lipstick.
My eyes caught sight of a note pasted against the fridge. Peeling it off, I began to read the contents. 'Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.'
I opened the fridge door to find an empty glass right beside a carton of milk. Picking it up, my lips curled into a small smile.
He was thoughtful.

I strode into the classroom with my bag hoisted over my shoulder. I acted as if the teacher wasn't there and continued strolling until I reached my seat at the back. No one would ever touch that seat since they knew that I was a person who they shouldn't rifle with.
A cough caught my attention, making my head snap towards Nathaniel. He shot me a wink before turning back to the front as he wore a satisfied smile. He must have noticed the orange lipstick applied on my lips today.
I had to admit, orange looks good on me.
"Miss Clarkson, can you explain why you are late today?" Mr. Randall demanded through gritted teeth. I rolled my eyes in respond, shrugging my shoulders effortlessly. "Because I woke up late today." I replied as if it was a line memorised a hundred times.
HIs face straightened as he folded his arms behind his back. "Well, in that case, you shall pay Mr. Hayfields a visit and have a cup of tea as both of you chat." He answered in a confident tone and at the same time, sending me a warning.
I treated as if it was just a trivial matter and waved a hand at him dismissively.
Pissed off by my behavior, he shook his head and continued his chemistry lesson. I took out my notebook and began scribbling notes on it. As the clock hands neared 3.35pm, I tore a piece of paper out of my notebook and scribbled a few words on it.
'Lend me your notebook after class.'
I tossed the crushed paper towards the direction of Elena, but accidentally hit onto Nathaniel's head. He turned around before picking up the crushed paper. He looked at me, a smirk tugged on his lips.
I gulped, feeling uneasy of that certain smirk. I had a bad feeling about it.

I packed my art materials back in my bag as soon as the bell rang. Out of the corner of my eyes, I felt someone staring at me. Even without looking, I already knew who it was.
By the time, I finished packing and was ready to go, I looked up to find the classroom eerily empty except for Mr. Randy and Nathaniel. A grinning-like-a-fool Mr. Randy waved at me goodbye before leaving the classroom, leaving us alone.
He tucked his hands into his pockets and began approaching me. Folding my arms across my chests, I waited for what he has to say next.
He took out a notebook from his bag, a smirk tugged on his lips. Immediately, I knew it was the chemistry notes he was talking about. The note was meant for Elena to read. Defeated, I reached out for the book but was intercepted by a hand.
I looked up, my eyebrows furrowing with confusion. "Before you can borrow my notebook, you need to give me a kiss." He smirked, shifting his head to the side as he pointed at his cheek.
"You wish." I dryly replied, looking away. No way was I going to kiss him on the cheeks.
Before I could say another word, I felt an arm pull me against a hard chest. I looked up to find him smiling at me with love in his eyes. He leant down and claimed my lips hungrily. His hand tilted the back of my head, making me deepen the kiss.
My hands slowly moved up his sides as it hung loosely around his neck. I felt him biting on my lower lips before turning swollen. His tongue caressed mine as it explored inside my mouth.
A mixed of emotions. Strange yet, it made me feel special for no particular reason.
