The results

Pacing back and forth in the kitchen, Bex kept anxiously looking at the time checking to see how long it has been.
"Is it time yet?? Has it been 5 minutes?" Bowie asked.
The married couple where both in the kitchen anxiously waiting for Bex's pregnancy test results.
"It's only been two minutes." Bex said as she looked at the time.
"Two minutes?! More like two years!! How long does this thing take!!" Bowie said picking up the test.
"You're anxiety is not helping." Bex said back.
"Sorry." Bowie apologized.
Bex was still walking back and forth across the kitchen while Bowie watched her and was leaning against the counter. Both not talking.
Finally, Five minutes passed.
"It's time!!" Bowie said in excitement.
Bex walked over to Bowie. "I'm so nervous. What if it's negative?" Bex asked Bowie.
"Then we can always try again." Bowie said giving Bex a small kiss on her head. "Do you want to look, or do you want me to?" Bowie asked.
"I will." Bex responded reaching for the test. "No, I can't. You do it!" She said to Bowie who was now reaching for it. "Wait!! Stop!! Let me!! I want to know first! I should anyways." Bex said changing her mind quickly. Bowie laughed. "Wait...." She said before she grabbed the test.
"Make up your mind! It's already been so long and I want to know!" Bowie said In a nice, but serious tone.
"But I'm scared. It's like I want to see the results, but I don't want to. But then I want to! I don't know what to do." Bex said nervously.
"What about this. We both look at it at the same time. We will pick it up, close our eyes, and count to three." Bowie said hoping Bex would agree. He wanted to see it before Andi got home. She was almost home. They don't want to tell her for a few more weeks. Or at least till they go to the Doctors. That is if the test is positive or not.
"Okay. That sounds like a good idea." Bex said.
Bowie took a deep breath. "We got this. And if it's negative, in a few weeks, we can try again. I promise." He said while grabbing Bex's hand.
Both of them took a big breath in and then out. Without looking, they felt the test, and with one hand each, the picked it up with their eyes closed. Both of them started to count. "1,2...3."
They brought the test up to their eyes.
"Oh my god." Bex said.
"Oh. My. God." Bowie said.
They both looked at each other, no expression. Then all the sudden both of them dropped the test and hugged and kissed each other.
"We did it!!" Bex said as tears filled her eyes. She went in for another hug.
"We did!!" Bowie said. "We're going to have a Baby! I can't believe it!" He put his hand on Bex's stomach. "I love you so much." He said to Bex as he kissed her.
"I love you too." Both of them we're nearly bawling. But without thinking, they heard the door open.
Andi was home.
"Uh? What's going on?" Andi asked looking at her parents who were now looking at her.
"Uhhhhh..." Bowie said.
"Um." Bex said as she quickly kicked the pregnancy test that happened to go under the oven.
"I got a promotion!" Bowie said. "I know it's not all that exciting since I work at a guitar place, but I could become a manager!"
It was true. Bowie's day was amazing so far. He did get a promotion, but was to nervous and anxious to tell Bex since he wanted to know if she was pregnant or not.
Bex looked at him confused, but also was gonna play along. "Yep!! It's exciting!! We didn't want to tell you till dinner, but I guess we couldn't wait!" She said to Andi trying to cover up the fact that they both said "Uh" and "Um."
"Really?" Andi said. Both Bex and Bowie thought she was too smart and knew what the truth was. "That's.... AMAZING!!" Andi screeched. "Dad! You could be the future owner of Red Roster!! Do you know how amazing that would be?! You could change the name to ' renaissance music'! I mean I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but having a mom who owns her own Makeup place, does amazing makeovers, and then having a dad who owns a music place and plays and sings music, would be like the best life a daughter could ever ask for!" Andi said jumping up and down and picturing out what she was explaining.
Both Bex and Bowie looked at each other and laughed. Then both hugged Andi.
"Before I get too ahead of myself, and too excited and won't be able to focus, I need to go do my homework. I'll be in my room if you two need me." Andi said as she walked over to her room.
Once the door shut, Bex and Bowie waited for a few seconds and then both of them hugged each other and started to tear up.
"Good thing I don't feel as nauseous today." Bex said looking up at Bowie.
The past few weeks have been rough for Bex. She found out news she thought she would never hear about, and on top of that, morning sickness has been hitting her hard. But today it seemed to be at least a little bit better. But on top of all of that, since the holidays are coming up and people want their makeup/hair done, cloud 10 has been busy. But things we're finally starting to calm down for Bex.
"But I think I may have accidentally kicked the pregnancy test under the oven." She said to Bowie.
"Ah it's fine! Don't worry about it. I'll get it for you." He said. "I'll Wait till later though. Andi could walk out on us any second."
"Haha good idea." Bex said. "Ugh. Now I'm all nervous for telling my family." Bex just had remembered that she needed to tell her family at some point.
"It will be fine! Trust me. I bet Andi would be overjoyed! And you're mom, she's going to be so happy!" Bowie said trying to cheer Bex up.
"But what if she isn't?" Bex said. Bex was nervous that her mom wouldn't be excited since the last time she announced she was pregnant, didn't go well.
"Bex, you were 16 at the time. I wasn't with you. But now I am. And now you're older. Plus Celia loves Andi to death. Yeah, maybe she was upset, but that's because you were young and didn't know you would be having a baby and become a single mom. I promise she will be happy. Did you see how she was when we announced we were getting married?!"
"Don't remind me!!" Bex said. "But I guess you're right. I think she will be happy."
"I promise she will. And if I'm wrong, then all you need is my happiness And Andi's." Bowie said in a soft voice. "Everything will be all right. I promise."
