The dinner affair was different from Mia's normal experience. Kou and Yuma fought over helpings of food; Azusa chuckled and pitched in his comments here and there and instead if reprimanding them Ruki seemed to feel at ease with the ruckus.
Even though Mia did not do anything other than have a glass of wine—which was the only human food she could tolerate—she felt like she was a part of the dinner affair, as if she was a part of the small, tightly knit family.
"Can I have...that wine...glass," Azusa muttered softly from his seat to the right of the demon. Mia blinked and paused for a second in thought before shrugging and offering the glass to the vampire.
Azusa smiled at her with soft purple eyes and Mia found her lips twitching into a similar smile almost unconsciously.
"Oi, oi, Azusa aren't you a sneaky bat," Kou chucked a sliced vegetable piece at the docile vampire who blinked as Mia caught the food item before throwing it back at Kou.
The table seemed to freeze for a second, including Mia, as they realized just what had transpired in the last few seconds.
Mia's eyes widened as she got caught off-guard, "I apologise, I didn't mean to..."
Kou's eyes flashed mischievously, "Oh what's this, so the demon princess can get flustered and have fun."
Mia's lips clenched shut as she refused to dignify the statement with a response. Kou chuckled, "I think I know just how to rile you up, red rose."
Yuma whistled lowly as the fork Mia delicately held in her hand to at least pretend to look eating broke in half, "That's some anger you got there, sickle."
"Kou, continue with your food." Ruki said, sensing the fight to arise otherwise.
Kou whined before following the order. Azusa handed the glass back to Mia who stared in surprise at the still full glass, "Azusa, did you not want to drink it?" Mia asked.
Azusa tilted his head at the demon, "No, I just wanted to indirectly kiss you."

Yuma's loud laughter broke the table's silence, Kou soon joined in as Ruki shook his head with a small smirk. Azusa was even more confused as Mia pinched the bridge of her nose, her eyes not looking at him again.
"Wife?"
Yuma leaned against Kou as their laughter got only more wild, Mia could not stop the giggle that left her mouth.
She looked at Azusa's confused purple eyes and broke into laughter herself.
The four vampire stopped as the red-eyed girl covered her eyes with her hand as she chuckled, her pink lips pulled into a wide smile.
The moment was broken the next second as Mia calmed down, she looked around with glittering eyes and Ruki averted his eyes before standing up.
"Dinner's over, Mia's company is mine for the day," Kou groaned in between and Ruki continued after a glare at the blonde, "Tomorrow she can go with..."
