Ruki stared resolutely at the plain, off-white wallpaper, he'd need to change it soon, maybe a lighter shade of grey. The furniture would be changed accordingly—

"Will you all stop being childish and say something?"

Ruki looked away from the wall to piercing red eyes and...oh, the walls should be painted that shade of red.

He was distracted by Yuma's growl, "What do you want me to say? Good job trying to kill yourself by being an idiot."

Mia's tightly closed fists came to massage her forehead, "I can't deal with such ungrateful people."

"I am grateful for what you did," Azusa cut in,

Mia looked at him. His eyes were darker than usual, like bitter berries, she thought. "I am grateful, but you would not have asked us once. I know it."

"Azusa," Mia began.

"No."

The pale vampire turned his eyes away from her, "No."

Ruki took pity at the masked hurt in the demon's face. "What now?" Thankfully, Mia understood the helping prompt. "I'll ask properly this time," she said.

Kou nodded his silent approval from where he stood leaning against the wall.

Mia let out an inaudible relieved sigh before speaking. "Alright, first off, I apologize, Azusa,"—Yuma coughed loudly—"I apologise everyone for making you worry."

"As if," Kou scoffed.

Mia smiled at the blatant half-hearted lie, "I will explain properly this time. I have your memories stored in my mind, but I have yet to see them. I didn't want to intrude your privacy, so I stopped the process."

Ruki murmured, "I wonder why this much care for your forceful arrangement."

Mia stifled a groan, "Yes, I care."

"You shouldn't care so much that you stop an automatic process and hurt yourself from within," said Azusa.

"Can we stop talking about me caring?"

Yuma smirked, "Why? It makes you uncomfortable?"

Ruki coughed to intervene, "Anyway, now what?"

"Keeping from accessing them is a painful process. Now...can I see your memories?"

"I have no objections," Kou softly muttered after a tense silence.

"I don't either," said the green-haired vampire.

Yuma tensed, what good could this bring. Someone seeing his memories that he is not aware of himself. However...the vampire thought of Mia lying on the floor bleeding in pain and the fear he had experienced.

He cared too.

"Fine," Yuma scoffed.

Ruki nodded, "I can't have you dying on us. I have a mission to accomplish."

"Sure, that's the only reason, Ruki~" Kou teased.

"I wasn't the one crying," the grey-eyed vampire snapped back.

Kou looked affronted, "Hey, I didn't cry." The blonde-haired vampire looked accusingly at Yuma, "Target him, he kissed her."

Ruki looked to be suppressing cold fury, "About that—"

"Can we focus on other matters than you refusing to accept your feelings and being pathetically jealous some other time?"

It was a cutting statement and all the occupants of the room stared at Azusa in shock. Azusa just looked back at them frowning.

Mia coughed and all three vampires swallowed their pride for the time being. "Mia, you can start."

The dark haired female nodded grimly and pale eyelids hid the red of her eyes as the demon lost herself to the foreign memories.
