The mirror was fogged up and the dim lighting of the washroom gave an ethereal glow to the atmosphere.

Mia wrapped the towel around her wet hair and after tucking it in, leaned against the sink. Gardening with Yuma had resulted in her getting dirt on her clothes but true to his word, the activity had helped get her mind off her worries.

"Why would Karlheinz erase my memories?" The demon murmured in the empty bathroom. The only reason that came to her mind was that she had seen something that she should not have.

Seen someone not something it seemed, Mia thought, recalling the beautiful eyes and touch she had felt.

"Who...who are you?"

The demon left to attend dinner, unaware that the people she was trying to remember were so close by.

Sakamaki Mansion-

"Why did you call us here, Reiji?"

All the eyes turned to the cold vampire who stood up, seemingly composed but they all saw the slightly creased tie, the one hair sticking up and his tired eyes.

"The spell that erased her memory, I've been searching it everywhere, it has a solution."

Before he could continue, Shu sat up. His dull blue eyes stared hard at Reiji as he stood up and turned to walk away.

"Are you running away even now, deadbeat?" Reiji spat.

Shu did not look back as he twisted the doorknob. The rest of the brothers and Yui watched quietly as Reiji gritted his teeth.

"Is this the devotion you have to her?"

Shu paused.

Reiji smirked, happy to get a reaction, to see that he was not the only one affected, "Are you willing to lose her as well."

"Shut up."

Reiji's eyes narrowed and Shu continued, "I know much more than you."

"I've been trying to trace her down since she left, don't you dare question my devotion."

The confession left them all dumbstruck.

Ayato stood up, his green eyes wide, "Do you know where she is?"

"No." Shu tugged down his sleeves, feeling the scratch marks he had inflicted burn on his skin even though they were healed. "Not yet."

A crash had them turning to look at Subaru as he pulled his fist away from the cracked wall, "Then what the hell is the use of you? Tch, it's been days and we have no idea on her whereabouts."

"We're useless," the white-haired vampire's hands shook as he turned his face to the ground.

"Do any of you have any faith in Mia or am I the exception?"

The name had them all flinching.

Laito continued, cradling his chin in his hand as he looked at them all, "She said she'll not forget us, that she'll come back."

He examined his hand, "She can't have gone forever. She said she wouldn't. I know she won't lie about this."

"Um, I'm sorry but you all are hurting...you need to let go of the thing hurting you," Yui whispered from her seat.

It was deathly quiet until Reiji broke it with his cutting voice.

"You want us to give up, like a pathetic mortal?"

Yui flinched, her heart racing with fear.

Ayato's green eyes shone menacingly as he leaned forward, "So that you can have all our attention, pancake? You want Yours-truly to let her go?"

The blonde-girl whimpered and held up her bruised wrist to her chest, "I didn't...I just."

Ayato extended his hand towards her, his eyes alight with a deadly intention.

"Don't," Ayato was stopped by a paler hand. Lavender eyes blinked at the vampire, "Don't touch her."

Ayato growled before pulling back his hand, he had more important concerns than pancake.

Subaru spoke up, "Reiji, what were you saying about the memory spell?"

"It has a solution, I can make it," Reiji pushed his glasses up with his index finger; "We can bring back her memories."

"She'll remember us...everything?" Laito asked, desperation flooding in his eyes.

Reiji nodded.

Shu turned the doorknob, "Well, what are you doing? Get on it, I'll find the dogs keeping her."

Reiji's lips twitched for a second before he disappeared in the air.

"We're coming for you, Mia."

"Kanato, um, thank you for back then."

Kanato giggled at his teddy, "So pathetic, right, teddy."

Yui's pink eyes averted to the ground, "I...baked you some cake again, as there's no one to make you sweets...I thought, you'd be lonely...um."

"You made it for me again?" Yui looked up at Kanato's voice to see his lavender eyes staring at her.

She nodded nervously.

Kanato frowned, "But I kicked you yesterday, you hate me."

"Not...hate," Yui sighed, "You were sad about her being gone...I can try to understand."

Kanato froze before bursting into giggles, "Okay then Yui, the cake better be sweet or I'll have to settle with your blood."

Yui's lip trembled before Kanato grabbed her hand and dragged her after him, "Come on then, I don't like to be kept waiting."

No one other than him realized that he did not let go of her hand until her trembling ceased.
