How did he know that? How could he know that information! I didn't tell anyone that my powers didn't work on the assassin... I cried and looked away.

"Don't make me do this Higgam..."

"Everything I have done, I have done for you..."

"What does that mean! Why? How could you do this to me!" I shout confused and lost and want to be anywhere but here.

"There is a time for everything. One day you will understand."

"Higgam...if you swear to me, if you say you didn't do it-"

"It changes nothing."

I stare at him, crying at the man who had given me everything, and was now taking everything away from me.

I would believe him.

Even if he lied I would trust him.

Why was he doing this?

"I don't believe you."

"It doesn't matter what you believe."

The doors burst open, as Casey came in, shackles in his hands.

"You need to say it Aura. You need to find it in you to do the right thing." He says sternly.

I shook my head.

"General..." Casey called out, his face somber. He looked at him, shaking his head.

"She can do it."

I shook my head.

"Say What needs to be said, Aura. You know only you can give the order.

"Don't make me do it."

"I'm only a general-"

"Don't you dare..." I shout.

"If you don't do this, then you have failed already Aura, and if you fail, I have failed my job, and the promise I made your father."

"Higgam, what you did...it's treason. Do you know what that means...?"

"I know."

"For Holgan? Fiona? Harvey?"

"I know."

"I can't do that..."

"Then you can't be the Queen Highlander needs." He says, his face stern.

Casey walks up to me, holding my hand, nodding at me. Even he had tears and his face was puffy. No doubt Higgam planned this and forced him into this.
