I was contented that Abba agreed though hesitantly.
It would had been a talk of the ceremony if we hadn't gone for Fahad's wedding.

Fahad's mother, Farhana Chachi had a huge family whereas Rehmaan Chacha had nobody but us.

We were the only paternal side of the family, Fahad had.
We ought to be there.

My grandparents had died when my father was very young and Rehmaan Chacha, a teen in school with nobody but Abba as his everything.

Abba couldn't complete his studies because he had pile of responsibilities on his shoulder including Rehmaan Chacha.

He even got married after Chacha got settled in Hyderabad with his wife and two newborns,
Rumana and Fahad.

It was only after I was born, Rehmaan Chacha had suggested of me getting married to his only son after we both grow up.

I was unaware about this until Ammi fell ill, a few years ago.
One day, she handed me her only jewelry, her silver bangles and a set of gold necklace and earrings as her blessings and told me everything.

A few days later, Ammi passed away.
It was a tough phase.
Abba was miserable and I was pathetic at that time.
The only support we had was from Rehmaan Chacha and Fahad who were present to console and support us.

Though I never had seen Fahad anything more than my cousin before Ammi's revelation but the way he took care of us during our worse, made me look at him in a different light.

My feelings for him started taking an unusual shape.
He became the man of my dreams.

Though I couldn't tell him how I felt.
Ammi had mentioned that Rehmaan Chacha had not disclosed anything to Fahad because he was much focused towards his ambition of becoming an Engineer and didn't wanted him to be distracted.

But we had never expected that he'll fell for someone from his college and would desire to marry her.

I do think that Arsheen is a much better match for him.
She's highly educated as Fahad and smart. Not to forget extremely beautiful and kind.

I was only able to figure this out when I visited her house with Rumana.

Rehmaan Chacha was delighted to see us a week before the wedding.
Before going to Hyderabad, I had made Abba swear on me that he'll not be harsh and would not disclose my topic to anyone.

It was pretty hard but Abba agreed eventually.

The most difficult task was to convince myself to be radiant. Rumana's jocular nature made it a little easier. She was like a sister, I always wanted to live with.

Farhana Chachi was beaming during all the events and was very caring and sweet towards us.

Rehmaan Chacha was somewhat happy to see his son jovial but whenever he glanced at me, I could feel his head hung in shame.

I didn't want to blame him for raising my hopes and being a major reason for crashing it but I would be lying if I said that I didn't.

On the other hand, I didn't want to hold any grudges against anyone so I decided to forgive him and forget it

I had finally accepted the fact that this was my destiny and I shouldn't be disheartened henceforth.

I believe in Allah and it's his decision as he knows the best for me.

I enthusiastically participated in all the pre-wedding rituals.
It was a lot hectic since it was a family wedding and we had to do a lot of work.
