Time is like a free bird, It flies till one can blink eyes.
It was one thing that had healed my heart.
Time also helped me to discover myself. To do the things I always wanted.

These two months had given me a new joy in the form of a person.

I had never imagined to have found a best friend in Hamza.

I liked to spend my time with him. He helped me to learn new stuff on computer. Our walk from class towards the bus stop had become a routine. We bonded well, sitting with him in silence also delighted me. His mere smile uplifted my mood and I found serenity in his presence.

We got to know about each other's family and we discovered that we had a lot of things in common.

He's polite and a decent man who cares for the people he love. Being an introvert, he has one friend beside me on whom he can rely the most.
Apart from that, he carried a lot of responsibilities on his shoulder.
His old mother and his little sister.

He is a hard-working man who works for sixteen hours in a day to feed his family.

After knowing him as a person, I feel proud to call him my friend.

Others might misinterpret our bond but I knew that we were nothing more than friends. At least I considered him as my friend.

It was a Sunday which meant  a day off from class and also from Hamza.

I was at home, busy in dusting and mopping whilst Abba was reading newspaper

Abba seemed different today.

His happiness had no bounds from the time he returned from the morning prayers. I missed seeing him like this.

"Rabia, Why don't you make Biryani for lunch today?" He requested after dropping his paper on the table.

I laughed, "It's not good for your health, Abba. You should avoid oily food." I admonished him.

"Rabia, I won't be eating that. There is a guest who'll be coming for lunch. I invited him. Make khichdi for me." He said.

I raised my eyebrows at him, "Who is this guest? Anyone I know?"

He stood up from his chair and walked towards me.

Then he shook his head, "No, You don't know him. He's coming to see you."

I turned to face him, "A suitor?"

"Yes." His answer was like a bucket of cold water splashed on my face. I had not anticipated this to happen too soon.

He continued, breaking my chain of thoughts, "Maulana Saab knows him. He is bringing him here after Zahoor."

I just bobbed my head, "I'll start preparing for the meal." As I was about to leave. His words stopped me.

"Have some faith in your Abba, child. I'm sure you'll like him." He had already passed a good judgement about this man.

"I know." I murmured and he placed his hand on my head.

"My only wish is to see you walk as a bride before I die." He said as his eyes moistened with fresh tears.

Even I couldn't help myself and sob, "Please don't talk about dying."

"Okay I won't talk about that. Now go and prepare a scrumptious lunch which I know you would." He chuckled.

"But you'll eat khichdi." And he scrunched his nose.

"Yes I would." He replied and our moods got lighter.
