CH. 22 This isn't bad
(Aimee POV)
Breakfast with Anthony's family wasn't bad; as a matter of fact, most of the breakfast time was taken over by jokes, the family telling stories about each other, and Anthony being embarrassed when the jokes or stories focused on him.
I quite actually enjoyed it and liked it, to be honest.
It was a good aura around these people, and I like how they made me feel welcome.
Anthony's nieces and nephews are simply adorable, and they've all had my attention since this morning.
I talked to them again in the living room until Anthony came in with his mom.
"Okay, kids. Time to give Anthony his girlfriend back. You have all been speaking to her all morning. Anthony's mom said. Anthony was next to her, nodding his head with his arms crossed.
Heather, Anthony's niece, who has taken a massive liking to me, groaned.
"We get a new member to the family, and we can't even hang out with her all day because Uncle Anthony will feel left out. You've had her this entire time; sharing is caring, Uncle Anthony." Heather said, being backed up by her sister Raven.
"Yeah, You guys have been dating for a long time. You can spare a day." Raven said.
I chuckled that she stated we'd been dating for a long time.
My heart throbbed at the fact that they called me a new member of the family.
I look up to find Anthony blushing.
Aw, it's time for me to save him from his own family.
"You guys are so cute, but I should hang out with him. He'll feel left out and all, but I promise we can play those games you guys wanted to play tonight. What's it called?" I asked them, trying to remember the name of the games.
Kenneth, Anthony's nephew, answered. "Sing it and Dance it." He said.
I nodded my head.
"Okay, so I'll play them with you guys tonight. It's been a while since I've danced and sung. So we'll see if it's any good." I said.
The kids nodded their heads, each hugging me and telling me that they would talk to me later.
I smiled and walked towards Anthony.
Anthony and his mom were smiling at me.
Anthony was blushing extra red, so I'm sure that his mom said something to him that had his face red like that.
"Well, I'll leave you two together." She said, literally skipping away.
I let out a chuckle, turning my attention to Anthony.
"What happened?" I asked him, curious about what had him blushing so hard.
I wonder what his mom teased him about.
"I'll tell you later. Come on, let's go get your clothes in the town store." He said, taking hold of my hand and squeezing it.
"Here's a jacket that you can put on top of the sweater you're wearing." He said, handing me a jacket.
I put on the jacket, and immediately, Anthony's scent took over my surroundings.
Goodness gracious, the man gave me a jacket that will drive me crazy because it smells just like him.
"Ready?" He said, looking at me and raising a brow.
I nodded my head, not being able to say anything. I was afraid I would start to stutter if I had opened my mouth and answered him.
