I wake up the next morning, sun pouring into my eyes. It was a Sunday, though, so I took plenty of time to get up and meander my way to the living room. Which is empty. Odd.
I check Clara's room, my mum's room, the kitchen, and they aren't anywhere. I grab my phone, wondering if I should call them, and there's already a text waiting for me from Jay.
Clara and your Mum are at one of her school friends birthday party, so you're going to get one today. First, go meet Marissa and all the other girls at Davi's Cafe. They'll give you your next destination, and there's an outfit hanging ready in your bathroom!
Oh lord. I should have known I wouldn't get off that easy. What would they do if I just didn't show up? Dare I risk it?
In the end, I'm wearing the dress, tights and red cardigan I betting Marissa snuck in and picked, although I am in flats, instead of the heels labeled, wear me! , when I show up at Davi's.
Farrah, Hanna, Carmen, and Marissa all waved at me, huge grins on their faces. I hadn't gotten much of a chance to spend time with them recently, as all of our lives have taken off. Farrah's gotten engaged, Hanna and Carmen are both working in a new show, even Marissa's been busy, talking to a dance company based out of Bristol.
But things haven't changed in our dynamic at all. Carmen and I still bicker like small children, Farrah breaking us up. Marissa insists on trying to make Hanna over, calling her look too innocent. They all chastise me for not staying up to date on pop culture, though I have gotten better. Carmen shamelessly flirts with the waiter, even scoring a number in the end. Then it gets to the time when they want dirt.
"So, Shaun. Is dating Jay of the wanted all it's cracked up to be?" Farrah asks, a small smirk evident on her face. Before I can answer, Marissa cuts in. "Of course it is. I mean, remember what he has planned for her! What I really want to know is how he is in the sack."
My jaw falls slightly, and the other three take advantage of my silence to spring in. "I was getting to that!" "Is all the bravado true, or is he making a mountain out of a molehill?" "Have you guys had fun with how flexible you are yet?"
I start laughing at them and Farrah and Marissa start a side debate about whether it had been too long since he was a dancer for him to still be uber-flexible. "You guys! Stop. We haven't had sex yet. I mean, we've gone pretty close, and if that's a judgment of anything, he's pretty damn good."
Carmen shakes her head and takes a sip of her water before frankly telling me, "Well you need to hop on that. It's been 7 months since last time you had a good fuck, and that stuff can build up."
I snort and ask, eyebrow raised quizzically, "And when was the last time you had a good fuck Carmen? Last year?"
She purses her lips and mutters, "Maybe. But I'm not the one with a boyfriend!"
The whole table laughs again, but Marissa's phone buzzes in the middle of it. She gasps and says, "Crap! It's almost three. Shaun, you need to go to umm, where was it?" She starts digging in her purse and then pops up with a piece of paper. She reads off the name of the park where Jay had officially made me his girlfriend. That made me realize that this was the caf\u00e9 Jay and I found the second time we met.
I kept this quietly to myself, wondering where Jay was taking this. Marissa randomly pulls some of my trainers and socks from her Mary Poppins-esque purse and says, "You might want these."

When I get to the park, I see several familiar faces, though not the one I was expecting. Siva, Nareesha, Tom, Kelsey, Max, and Nathan were all there. After greeting them all, I ask what we're doing here.
