Chapter 21; The Baby Is Coming!

9:00 pm

I crawled into bed and went on Instagram.
I was scrolling through my feed when I got a text from Austin.

Austin Walker: Hey

Me: Sup

Austin Walker: Ready for tomorrow?

Me: Ugh don't get me started. We'll have to make a schedule.

Austin Walker: I call the baby during the day.

Me: Great, then I won't have to deal with it at school.

Austin Walker: You get the nights tho 😉.

Austin Walker: If you want, I could help you.

Me: No I'm good. I'll take it during the nights and give it to you first thing at school.

Austin Walker: kk

I turned my phone off and looked at the ceiling. I let out a loud breath.

I decided to get ready for bed. I walked into my washroom and got changed into some short shorts and a plain t-shirt. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, then headed to my bed.

I fell asleep instantly.

6:30 am

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I woke up and turned my alarm clock off. For some reason I felt like I actually slept (one of the best feelings in the world).

I got ready for school, ate breakfast and went to the bus stop.

The annoying girl wasn't there so I was a bit relieved.

Once the bus came, I got on and the bus driver drove all of us loud and obnoxious teenagers to school.

*Skip to 3rd period where all the juicy stuff actually happens.*

I walked in and was greeted by one of my friends, Hope. "Hey! Come sit! I got moved to this class cause I wanted to do some baby stuff." She winked and I laughed.

"Alright guys, today you are getting your babies! Hope, you'll be partners with Adam and you don't have to do the whole marriage thing." The teacher said.

Hope smiled at Adam and he sat next to her.

"The cart will be coming in shortly, please choose a name for your baby and write it on this fake birth certificate." She handed out the fake certificates to everyone in the class.

Austin came and sat next to me. "Sup baby." He winked. "Austin, I swear if I have to tell you one more time..." I clenched my jaw. "Alright, alright I'm just joking." He grabbed a pen.

*He's changed. A lot. He used to be more....bad or something.*

"What's the name?" He said. " Well is it a boy or a girl?" I asked.

"Congratulations, you guys are having a girl!" A strange lady said to us as she handed us a fake baby in a carrier thing.

"Well...I guess she's a girl!" Austin said with fake enthusiasm. "Okay her name is Violet." I said, taking the baby out and into my arms.

"Uh no, I want Siri." He said.
"What kind of a name is that? She's not an iPhone." I hissed, cradling the fake baby.
"Yeah, but it sounds cool." He said. "Uh no it doesn't. Her name is Violet and that's final." I said. "Okay fine."

We spent the rest of the period learning how to take care of the babies.

*RINNGGGG*

We all stepped outside of the classroom. "I'll take her and drop her off at your place at 8, okay?" Austin said, taking the baby out of my arms. "Yeah, okay." I said and walked to class.
