As my mom drove down to road I looked at her and then she looked at me then back at the road.

"Yes chile"

I gave her a small smile.

"Yuh didn't haven't to do dad like that yuh know?" I raised an eyebrow at her, "You know he did not mean it"

"Oh I know but its fun to have him scared for his life sometimes....keeps him on his P's and Q's." Mom looks at me,"Honey your dad might think he runs things that household but....no sah,plus...this way momma gon have ah new outfit by de end of de night" She let's out a low chuckle.

"Hell he might be taking it off tonight too!"

I did not need to know that.

My head whipped to the side so fast you would have thought i broke it. I looked at her with a scrunched up face.

"Eww momma I did not need to know dat!"

She waved her hand off at me," Chile please..don't give me that. Plus I'm just keepin it real." She ends her statement with a shrug.

I looked at her and blinked, not even knowing what to say.

"An don't think I didn't notice the way you be been taking yuh time dis mornin...I can't believe my daughter is not ah virgin anymore, wayzz I gettin ole boi"

I stilled in my seat. I'm dead.

It was silent for a second.

Then i laughed..it was nervously fake.

"You're ah mess ma...."

She gave me a look.

"Girl..I've been with your father for at least 20 years, I love him so much even with his dumbass as times. I was young once yuh know hell I had all the guys around me when I was living in Canaan." Mom let out a little chuckle as she shook her head.

A trip down memory lane perhaps?

"Mom..."

"Aye I doh want to hear notin out yuh mouth, it done gone it done happen. Yuh nearly 18 years old so you betta get yo ass on the pill, don't be givin me no grand babies anytime soon please and thank you coz I'm far too young for dat, ight? An another thing....don't let yuh fadda find out coz yuh know wat go happen..."

I shook my head as I listened to my mother's words," He will die of a heart attack then come back to life and kill him"

His words not mine.

I shook my head as I remembered the conversation as if it happened yesterday.

Oh Lord.

"Mhmm dramatic ass..."

She pulls up to the front of my school.

I don't get out, but I check my phone for the time.

7:30. Still so early?

More sleep would have been nice.

"Deja get the hell out mi car I have to get to work girl!"

"Alright dang woman" I get out.

With my bag on shoulder I close the car door and gave her a smile knowing fully well that I was annoying her. I'm her daughter, its part of the package.... At least I think it is.

"By mommy, love you" with the sickly sweet smile still on my face I bat my eyelashes at her a bit just stir the pot.

Mom sucks get teeth,"girl if you don't close yo mouth wit dem lil buck baby teeth you got!"

I gasp.

Rude much?

"What the....ma!"

She let's out a hearty laugh,"Bye baby! Love you"

Then she left.
