How can I not?

How many nights can we keep doing this, before one of us caves?

We made a promise we wouldn't get attached. We promised, it was only for favors.

But tell me, how can I not get attached to you?

How can I not fall in love with the sparkle in your brown eyes that shine whenever you talk about something you like?

How can I not fall for you when you've been the one to pick me up everytime I stumble? 

How can I not fall for you when all you do is give me a reason to smile? 

How can I not fall for you when you light up the path that was once a dark void in front of me? 

Your hands are rough but they have the softest touch that leave me shaking. 

Your eyes stare at me so intensly I almost forget how to breathe. 

Your body is so perfect, that it feels almost wrong to touch it. 

Your voice sounds like music to my ears. I could listen to you for years and never get tired of hearing it. 

So you tell me, how can I not get attached?
