One Week Later
"Another bouquet arrangement was delivered to you." Wes said, coming into the kitchen with a vase of long stemmed white roses. I was sitting at the breakfast bar, eating a bowl of cereal, watching as Wes placed the flowers down in front of me. I grabbed the card, reading the informal note that was written on it, slightly shaking my head as I sat the note down:
Please forgive me. - C. Grey
"Send these to your mom. I'm sure she'd enjoy another arrangement." I told him.
"You can't just keep ignoring the man. This is the tenth bouquet that he has sent to you this week, and I'm not sure what he did to you but whatever it was...he's clearly sorry." I didn't respond. I just stood up and walked over towards the sink, sitting my bowl down, before turning back to face him.
"I'm going to take a shower." I walked off, not even in the mood to have this conversation with Wes. Of course, I didn't tell him or anyone else about what Christian had suggested, but the entire situation still left a bad taste in my mouth. Replaying the scene over and over in my head, I knew that I had overreacted just a little bit, but I couldn't help myself. Just seeing what he does to women...with women...is a complete turn off to me.

Stepping out of the shower, I quickly wrapped the towel around my body, and rushed over to where my ringing cellphone was. It was Elliott calling me and of course, I wasted no time answering his phone call.
"Hey Elliot." I answered.
"Hey Destiny. There's a problem down here at the building and I need you to get here as fast as you can." He said, calmly.
"Is everything alright? Is anyone hurt? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine and so is everyone else, but uh...how soon can you get here?" He asked.
"Give me about thirty minutes and I'll be right there." I assured him. We hung up and I quickly rushed into the bedroom so I could put some clothes on and go see what was going on. Everything had been running smoothly and Elliott was so close to finishing the building, but of course...something had to happen and I was afraid at finding out what it was. I didn't need anything else on my already half full plate, but it didn't matter what I wanted at the moment. All that mattered was how I was going to handle whatever Elliott was about to show me.
