I was standing in my office, directing two gentleman on where I wanted certain things, as I set up my office space. I felt really good, especially since I was now back on track, but more importantly...I was back to working and doing what I do best.
"How does this look, Ms. Langston?" One of the men asked me.
"Perfect. Thank you both so much!" I said.
"Can we be of any further assistance?" The other man asked.
"No, you're both done here. Thank you again." They nodded and walked out of my office, just as Audrey came walking in. She had been such a big help lately and I couldn't even begin to repay her for everything she's done. I swear, I am grateful to both her and Christian.
"Someone named José is here to see you." She said.
"Oh great! Can you send him in please? Oh, and Audrey? I need to talk to you about something very important."
"Okay, I'll be just down the hall." I nodded and took a seat behind my desk, picturing how it was going to look once I finished decorating it, and adding pictures and what not onto my wall. There was a knock at the door, as Jose stepped inside, smiling widely at me.
"Hey José. Long time, no see." I smiled, as I got up to greet him. I gave him a hug, before motioning for him to have a seat. I reached out to him because I had a job opportunity for him, but between everything that is going on between Ana, Kate, and I...I don't blame him if he turns down my offer. I'm sure he is loyal to his friends, which is understandable and respected, but at the same time...money talks, bullshit walks. "Thank you for coming to meet with me. I know things have been a little rocky between your friends and myself, but I didn't ask you to come in to talk about that. I wanted to offer you a job." A little rocky, I said? Tuh...I just offended myself. I thought to myself.
"A job? What kind of job?" He asked.
"A photographer job, of course. I remember seeing some of your photos, the day I bumped into you, when I first came here to Seattle. You're very talented and you have a good eye, especially when it comes to showing beauty behind a camera lens."
"Oh wow...thank you. I can't believe you remember that." He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "I would love to work here, honestly I would, but...I don't want to get into the middle of whatever is going on between you and my friends. I heard about what Ana did, which I found horrendous and disgusting, but she never use to be like this. She changed after meeting that Christian Grey guy, and now...that's all she ever thinks and talks about. I know you are dating him now, but please...be careful. There's something off about him and I just can't understand what he did to make her go crazy over him." Well for starters, his sex is AMAZING! On top of that, he is undeniably gorgeous, funny, sweet, and rich! Any girl would go crazy over him, if I'm being honest.
"Listen José, you won't get into the middle of anything. When it comes to my job and my business, I take this very seriously. Anything going on in my personal life doesn't exists whenever I step through those doors, but I won't pressure you. How about you take a few days to think over my offer, which by the way...you'll find the pay for talented photographers such as yourself to be extremely tremendous, and if and when you come to a final decision...just call me. Whether you choose to do it or not, I won't be upset." I assured him. I handed him my card, with my cell number on it, as we both stood up.
