Sombra awoke silently, cautious of his surroundings. Luna was on duty guarding him at night so nothing would get out of hand.
"Where am I?" Sombra asked. His voice had a new touch of innocence, but held its deep rumble.
"You are in the Canterlot castle." Luna answered, a whole new wave of cautiousness washed over her. 'Nothing should get out of hand' she reminded herself.
"Who are you?" Luna was silent from shock. 'Does he have amnesia?' she wondered.
"Are you serious?" she questioned harshly.
"Why wouldn't I be?" he looked at her accusingly. She stood quietly, stunned. This was not the same Sombra that killed innocent ponies. Immediately she sent a message, telepathically through Celestia's dream.
"Uh . . . Why am I in chains?*gasp* Naughty you." he teased. "I wouldn't think you liked that kind of thing" he winked at Luna causing deep blush to rise to her cheeks.
"Would you shut up!?" embarrassed she snapped, it didn't seem to even fase him, seeing as he was still grinning like a fool.
Curiosity rose in her, 'maybe he isn't a bad guy, anymore . . . What if he is different'
"I have a proposal" Luna's voice was firm and steady " If you can prove you have no evil intention towards the people of Equestria, I may be able to push for early release." Luna glanced in Sombra's direction. His muzzle was raised in a toothy grin, she faltered "What?"
"I've no idea what your talking about, but I enjoy hearing you speak, it amusses me." his grin grew wider and brighter. Luna blushed, she stepped closer to the king 'I feel . . . drawn to him. But how?'
"How could I?" she thought aloud. Sombra's grin fadded the loud creak of the dungeon doors bounced off the cold stone walls. Luna jumped back her large wings flapped giving her and Sombra more room.
"Sister" Celestia called from the top of the stairs the royal gaurds stood tall beside her, their shining armor was unfamiliar to the dim halls. "Have you extracted any information from this tirrant?" she spoke looking down on the once proud King.
"Celestia I- he . . ." Luna collected her thoughts "I've come to the conclusion Sombra has suffered severe amnesia."
'Such beauty . . .' thought Sombra. the princess' mouths moved but all words were lost on him. 'Her hair so dark dotted with white light and covered in a veil of purple' she was the complete opposite of her sister in every way, her navy coat and piercing blue eyes 'Celestia doesn't even hold a candle to the beauty which is Luna.'
As Luna brought Celestia up to speed, Sombra explored the depths of his thoughts seeing as they all revolved around Luna he settled for listening to the real her.
"-but sister, I believe he truly has changed!" Luna cried.
"That's the last I will listen of this nonsense! This monster you are defending, will be executed in three days for his crimes against pony-kind. Hopefully you will see I'm doing this for the good of our people." with that Celestia left slamming the old doors behind her.
Luna looked up at Sombra from the floor, sorrow glazed her eyes. The confused pony galloped out of the room. A single tear escaped, falling from her face. It hit the light of the setting moon, and for a split second it looked like a glittering star.
