Chapter 20: Why Gumball?!

Sorry for making you guys wait soo long just got busy with school and things I will try to do my best on updating.

*Gumball's POV*

I was riding on Marrow back to the Candy Kingdom from the Queen of Aaa's castle. It takes about 20 minutes when you ride on marrow. Marrow dropped me off on my balcony to my bedroom. I walked into my room and looked around.

Gumball: Hello? Marshall, are you here?

No one answered. I walked down to the castle gardens and cut some flowers for the castle tables. Then I heard foot steps from behind. I turn around and there stood Marshall.

Gumball: Hey Marshall, whats up.

I looked at his shoes which looked like they were just bought and same with his jeans and shirt.

Gumball: Did you get new clothes?

I look up at his face. Tears were streaming down his and his eyes were red from the tears.

Gumball: What's wrong?

He just looked at me and shook his head.

Gumball: Marshall, say something, what's wrong?!

I felt tears well up in my eyes.

Marshall: Why didn't you tell me?Why didn't you tell me about the meeting?

Gumball: What are you talking about?

Marshall: I was in town today and candy citizens came up to me saying 'they felt sorry for me' or 'sorry about your loss'. Then I started getting mad and finally asked somebody why people were saying these things. He said 'haven't you read the paper. At the Meeting of Aaa they talked about a law saying they were getting rid of the gays in Aaa and they have to live on Mars.

Gumball:I'm sorry, I should have told you but I didn't want you to get all worked up about it.

Marshall: What's going to happen gummie? When are they making the decision on that law?

Gumball: I don't know. I just went to see the Queen of Aaa and she said that she thinks it's adorable that we're a couple.

Marshall: Then why is she letting this happen?

Gumball: Because it will make the land of Aaa look bad if there is two rulers that are gay. It's not that she doesn't like gays or the people don't like gays. It just having gay rulers makes the Land of Aaa look bad.

Marshall: Well we'll do it anyways to show her that it won't make Aaa look bad.

Gumball: We'll figure it out, babe don't worry.

Marshall: No you'll figure it out I'm going back to my house and when you figure it out come find me!

Marshall's feet lifted off of the ground and he floated out the window.
