Almost Caught

Cross's pov.

Walking in the deep and damp forest of echo tale. I saw a tall skeleton. Baffled of how tall he was. He looked like a fusion of sans and gaster. He had somebody following him..A human..? I looked at Chara to see them staring at the human and there was no way In hell he would stop looking at her. I wandered in the forest trying to see if he has anything to do with the quest..The legend..A tall skeleton accompanied by a human. The legend said A skeleton accompanied by a human shall hold great secrets..Of the void and it's Abyss of secrets and hidden monsters trapped in the void. And me and Chara are trying to figure it out since Nighty doesn't believe me..
"Chara, can you please stop looking at that human!?" I aggressively whispered to Chara.
"Shut up," Chara whispered back a red hue appearing on their face.
I rolled my pupils.
"Whatever let's just finish this quest or whatever," Chara said. I nodded. We both followed throughout the forest of Snowdin watching their every move. I believe they're getting suspicious they looked back every time either me or Chara would trip or step on a twig or leaf it made a crunching noise every time it's been stepped on.

Cross Chara's pov

Cross stepped on a twig making it's signature crunching sound. Both of them looked back to see nothing.
"Cross watch where the hell you're going," I whispered. He immediately looked back with a death glare. I shut my mouth hella quick and didn't talk until a low branch hit me in the head.
"DAMMIT" I yelled. Regretting it both the human and the skeleton stopped and walked into the trees surely knowing somebody is watching them. Cross grabbed me and jumped on a high up branch.
"You almost got us fucking caught," Cross said giving me an angered glare. I shrugged not knowing what to say back. Cross wanted to slap me so hard and I knew it.

???'s pov

I heard someone scream dammit. I looked at G with the fear of somebody watching us.
"G-g did you hear that..?" I said with a shaky tone. He nodded. We both went into the trees of the forest to check, but saw nothing..I held G's arm as tight as I could he help back reassuring me everything is going to be okay. I nodded. We walked back home..I didn't wanna be followed..

Cross's pov

Chara and I went back to Nighty.
"How was your little quest, Crossy?"
Nm asked. I looked at Chara.
"Welp, Chara almost got me caught." I answered. I joined Nm on the couch snuggling up to him. Nm grabbed me pulling me closer. I fell asleep in his goopy arms snuggling him like my life depended on it.
