INT. SHERIFF HANNAN RESIDENCE - THE NEXT DAY
Sheriff Hannan is being woken up by the ringing of his house phone. H's groggy as he gets up to answers it.
LIEUTENANT ALLEN
There's been a fire at the abandoned asylum. You better not be late today.
SHERIFF HANNAN
Ryker?!
LIEUTENANT ALLEN
Don't sound too surprised..
EXT. COMBS RESIDENCE - MORNING

Erin is waking up on the bench outside of her house. She walks back into her house.
Cuts to Erin is in the shower, she's washing off the painted symbols on her body and dried blood from her hair.
Cuts to Erin in bed, she hears her mother get up, she walks by Erin's open door and peers in. Erin pretends to be asleep.
Cuts to Erin's waking up a few hours later, she gets up and gets dressed.
EXT. ASHFORD RESIDENCE - PORCH - DAY
Erin is knocking on Mason's door. She's in a summery dress.
Mason answers the door in a tank top and jeans and a bottle of alcohol in his hand. He's slurring his words.
MASON
What do you want?
ERIN
Can I come in?
MASON
Why?
ERIN
Well, I wanted to thank you for saving me.
MASON
You don't have to come in for that.
ERIN
So when are we going to your father's last known address?
MASON
"We"?.. You better get off my porch before I call the police.
ERIN
She was my sister Mason! I'm involved whether you like it or not.
MASON
I'm still not letting you in.
ERIN
Well I can just go and tell the police who burned down Ryker last night.
MASON
.. Well, I guess I'll make some tea. Make yourself at home.
