"Can we please go see Ashton today?" Calum begs, down on his knees, clinging to the hem on my shirt desperately.

"Uhh" I hesitate. "Michael?" I ask, looking up to Michael who was laying on our bed on his phone.

"If it will make you feel better, Calum, sure" Michael says, looking over at us. He locks his phone and sits on the edge of the bed.

"It's like the whole ask your father thing" I scoff. "Of course you would say yes" I add, helping Calum get back on his feet.

I watch Calum as he straightens his shirt, an old Fall Out Boy shirt that used to be Ashton's. The cut on his lip and the one near his eye distracts me, they haven't had time to heal yet, since the incident at the nightclub was only last night.

"When are we going?" Calum asks, looking up at me.

"As soon as you have something to eat" Michael tells him as he stands up. Calum sighs but nods in agreement.

The three of us leave the room and start walking down the hall.

"DADDY!" Hazel shrieks in excitement as we reach the lounge room door. I turn to face her as she runs towards us and jumps into my arms. I lift her up and sit her on my hip.

"What's up, princess?" I ask, smiling at her.

"I'm hungry" she complains, smiling at me.

"Well I better feed you then, don't you think?" I ask, smiling at her. He nods happily. "Jace, lunch!" I call out to him, he jumps up from the couch, where he was drawing with Leighton, and runs over to me, wrapping his arms around my leg so I can't move. "Seriously?" I mumble under my breath.

"Come here, ratbag" Michael laughs, pulling Jace away from my leg and picking him up. Jace laughs and starts pulling Michael's hair, causing Calum to laugh.

I look over at Calum's mum, who was holding Ariana in her lap, she was looking up at Calum, smiling at the joy in her son's laugh.

We walk into the kitchen, where we find Ashton's mum making coffee for herself and Calum's mum.

The first thing Calum does when we get to the kitchen is grab a jar of baby food out of the cupboard for Ariana. "Mum, can you bring the kids in for lunch?" Calum calls, pulling two plastic spoons out of the draw.

"Sure!" His mum calls back as Calum opens the jar and sits it on the bench before turning to the fridge and pulling out a snack-size tub of strawberry yoghurt for Leighton.

Leighton yells excitedly as he runs into the kitchen, a purple crayon in one hand, and climbs up onto his chair at the table. Michael sits Jace in the chair beside Leighton and tells him to stay, and surprisingly, he did.

Calum walks over to the table and hands Leighton the yoghurt. "I want chocolate yoghurt" Leighton demands.

"Too bad, we don't have any" Calum says as his mum walks in and sits Ariana in her high chair. He walks over and sits in the chair beside the high chair and starts feeding Ariana.

"And what would you like?" I ask Hazel, who was still placed on my hip. She shrugs her shoulders. "Alright, air it is" I joke.

"Noo" she laughs, shaking her head.

"No? You don't want air for lunch?" I ask, smiling cheekily at her.

"No, daddy" she laughs.

"Well how about a banana and some strawberry yoghurt?" I ask.

"Not strawberry" she says, shaking her head. "Banana" she tells me.

"I'm not sure we have anymore banana flavoured yoghurts" I tell her, walking over to the fridge. I open the door and stare at the four snack-sized tubs of yoghurt on the top shelf. "Wait, look!" I say, reaching for one of the tubs. "The last one" I say, handing it to her.
