*Michael's P.O.V*

Jace is currently prancing around the lounge room in one of Hazel's pink floppy tutus... I can't really explain.

Well... Basically, Hazel came running into the lounge room shouting "DADDY, JACE IS WEARING MY TUTU!".

"And?" Luke had said nonchalantly without even looking up from his phone to look at Hazel for a split second.

"He can't wear a tutu, he's a boy!" She complained, and that caught Luke's attention.

"Of course he can" Luke told her seriously.

"Yeah, daddy Luke did more than once so of course Jace can" I snicker quietly. Luke glares at me before blushing as he remembers the times he wore a pink tutu over his skinny jeans.

Anyway, Luke took Hazel into her room and is now explaining to her that boys can wear girls clothes and girls can wear boys clothes if the want to and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Luke had sent Jace out here, which is why he is now prancing around the lounge room in black skinny jeans with a pink, floppy tutu over the top, and a batman t-shirt that says 'Daddy is my superhero'.

"Jace I swear-" I begin but he interrupts.

"Do you wear by the angel?" He asks as he climbs over the coffee table to get away from me.

"Yes, Jace, I swear by the angel" I tell him, sighing. "If you don't sit down, I'm going to tape you to the couch" I finish my statement. He pouts, but sits down on the other couch.

And yes, Jace did just make me swear 'by the angel'. It's from The Mortal Instruments, which I now wish we had never let him watch. I think he only likes it as much as he does because we told him that we named him after Jace, who is is favourite character (obviously).

"Daddy?" Jace asks curiously.

"Yes, Jace?" I ask, looking up at him.

"Can I get my ears pierced like you & daddy Luke?" He asks. I raise my eyebrows in slight surprise.

"If you want, sure" I tell him, smiling.

"Really?!" He asks, his face lighting up. I nod.

"Yep" I chuckle. "And it's your birthday soon, isn't it?" I ask, smirking at him.

"Yeah! In two weeks!" He says in excitement.

"Oh, you've been counting have you?" I laugh and he just nods. "Okay, daddy Luke & I will take you to get your ears pierced for your birthday" I tell him and he smiles at me.

"Can I also put blue streaks through my fringe?" He asks.

"No" I reply instantly.

"You dye your hair all the time" he points out. God dammit. "It will wash out, dad, please?!" He begs. I sigh in defeat.

"Okay, just this once! But your sister is aloud to get pink tips at the end of her hair" I tell him.

"Okay!" He says, jumping up and climbing over the coffee table again. "Thanks dad!" He says, jumping into my lap to hug me.

"No problem" I say, hugging him back.

*Luke's P.O.V*

"Happy birthday- happy birthday- happy birthday-" Michael mumbles in between each kiss he plants on my lips.

This is probably the fifth time today that he has done this.

"You only have to wish me a happy birthday once, you know?" I laugh. He shrugs his shoulders and kisses me again.

"Do we really have to buy Jace his own tutu?" Michael asks, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion as he pulls away from me slightly. "I mean, Hazel has a few and I'm pretty sure the one Jace took was too big on her anyway" he adds.

"The fact that it's too big on her doesn't matter to Hazel, it's still hers and Jace can't have it" I explain before chuckling.

"Right" Michael laughs. "Kids are precious" he whispers, pressing his face into my neck.

"Yeah, and speaking of kids, we have to wake them up so we can go to Macca's like we promised we would" I tell him.

"Fine" he sighs, pulling away from me and linking our hands together before leading me out of the room.

You know what, today has been one of the best birthday parties ever, and all we've done is act like kids and play games.

I think the highlight of today was dancing around to 'M.F.P.O.T.Y' by Cher Lloyd. I don't know why, it was just really fun.

"Time to wake up, sweetie" I say softly to Hazel as I pull the sheets off of her and scoop her up into my arms. "And you have drool all over your shirt" I point out as her eyes flutter open.

I walk over to the cupboard and pick out a plain black t-shirt and her red & white button-up plaid shirt. I also grab a pair of socks and her black skinny jeans.

I swear to god, this is one of the cutest outfits EVER for a child. My mum brought it from Cotton On Kids while we were on holidays.

I walk back over to her bed and sit Hazel on the edge of it before kneeling down in front of her. I help her pull off her drooled-on, baggy One Direction shirt and help her slip the black one on. Then I help her put the plaid shirt on and fix the collar, leaving the buttons undone. I help her slip into her skinny jeans and do them up for her.

As I start to put Hazel's socks on her feet, I hear Jace blabbering on to Michael about what he wanted to wear- the black skinny jeans he was already wearing, his black & white converse, and the Sleeping With Sirens shirt Kellin gave him after the concert Calum & Ashton took him to the other week.

"What about this?" I hear Michael ask, holding up Jace's fake leather jacket.

"Nah, this outfit looks better without it" Jace tells Michael seriously, causing me to let out a snort of laughter.

"Out kids are fashion experts" I laugh.

"They learn from the best" Michael laughs, throwing Jace's jacket back in the cupboard.

"Purple?" I ask Hazel, holding up her purple vans. She pulls a disgusted face and it takes every inch of strength in me to fight off the laughter bubbling in my stomach.

"No, black, purple doesn't match with the red" she tells me, crossing her arms across her chest. That just causes Michael to lose his shit and I turn around to see him sitting on the floor with his knees half pressed up to his chest and his head hidden by his hands as he fights back laughter.

"I told you" he gasps. Jace is looking at him like he's an idiot.

"You're so precious" I tell Hazel as I switch the purple vans for the black ones and help her put them on.
