𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 dropped from the helicopters, making everything below to blow up. The sound of it made my insides turn cold as I ran for cover. People are screaming in terror. The sound of Launchers, followed by bodies hitting the ground, rung in the air.

The night has finally fallen and by the light of the fires burning the camp, the destruction is visible and I could see people running away for their lives but chased by WICKED guards. Barking voices forcing people to follow, footsteps thundering, and the the helicopters' rotors, are making me nauseous. This might be a symptom for dying.

One second, we're already enjoying about the thought of living in the Safe Haven, finally safe and free. Now, it became a distant memory like it was singed into ashes.

"Come on, come on! We need to hide!" I shouted.

"Where's Thomas?" asked Minho whilst running.

"No idea!" I replied.

We saw Vince loading a machine gun that is placed at the back of the jeep. Trying to keep out from WICKED's sight, we hurried into him to take cover.

"Harriet, ammo!" Vince barked.

"You need to cover us!" said Harriet, passing the bullets to reload the gun.

He grabbed a shotgun then his gaze landed on Minho, "Hey, you know how to use this?" Minho nod his head and grabbed the gun. "Cover me! This could be our only chance!"

With that, each of us grabbed the guns at the back of the jeep. I cranked the pistol and seized it with both hands. The cold metal sent chills down my spine, I have no shucking idea how to fire a gun and I never fired one in my life. WICKED guards are now zooming into our direction and without thinking, I pulled the trigger.

The recoil nearly knocked me on my feet, the ringing of the shot still buzzing in my ear. The bullet narrowly missed one of the guards' head. I think if I just have some nerve and focus, I am capable of hitting one-but to disarm, not to kill.

I set my aim again on the WICKED guard and luckily, the bullet hit his thigh. The recoil was still strong but I'm starting to get used of it. The Gladers are doing well on firing like they are trained while Vince's machine gun only stopped to reload.

"Vince, hurry up. There's too many of them," said Newt anxiously.

"I'm out!" Fry exclaimed, pulling the gun's empty magazine.

All of a sudden, a small clank clattered on the jeep's floor and started to beep rapidly.

"Get away from it!" I shouted when I realized what it was.

"SHIT!" Vince shrieked.

The taser bomb exploded before any of us could distance our self. I could feel the literal electricity crawling in my skin as my body hit the ground with a loud thud. My vision started to blur and the last thing I heard is the commotion around us.

Guttural voices. Like I am underwater. That's what I heard first before slowly opening my eyes. It took a minute for my vision and hearing to return to normal, and I now I would prefer to be underwater or to just drown either.

Together with the Gladers and the members of the Right Arm, we're sitting on the ground in line. WICKED guards with their Launchers hoisted in front of them circled around us like a garden fence. A guard joined our huddle whilst dragging a woman and pushed her to us.

"You okay?" Vince asked Mary as she landed in front of him.

"Yeah..." she weakly replied, clearly in shock of what just happened.
