I arrive at my house and I leave everything except my phone and Amara in the car and go in the house. "What happened Cara." I say worriedly walking up to Cara in a fast pace. "You might want to sit down for this." Cara says walking over to the door to close it since Amara forgot to. Amara and I sit on our couch. "What is it?" I ask and I start to bite my nails. "So, I know that the holidays are coming up." Cara says and then the closet door swings open. "And who wouldn't want to spend the holidays without their mom?" I see her. It's truely her. I have dreamed about seeing her for weeks. I start to cry. She's standing there in her army uniform with her bags still in her hand. She drops the bags and I run up to her like it was straight out of a movie and hug her. "Mommy." I say and my emotions overpowered me and I start crying so badly. I release from the hug but still have her in my arms. "It's really you." I say and pull her into another hug. "It is me Katalina. Now, lets go out to lunch. How about? Whataburger?" She says and I cry even more just hearing her voice. She remembers my favorite place to eat. "Okay okay okay. Lets go, first let me get cleaned up." I release from the hug and kiss her on the cheek. I run upstairs with Amara following me into my room.

I shut the door behind Amara and immediately go into my bathroom and start wiping my tears away and cleaning my face. "Did you know about any of this?" I ask Amara while applying my moisturizer. "Actually no. I wish I did tho. It would have been so funny." She says as she sits on my bed. "Well I suppose. It is pretty funny." I say while putting on some perfume. "So, should I change?" I ask Mar walking out of the bathroom closing the door behind me. "No hoe, you look very cute. Kind of like you belong in a K-Drama but still. Cute." She says grabbing her phone and putting it in the back pocket of her mom jeans. "Shall we go?" She asks and I nod. We walk downstairs to see my mom and Cara bonding.

"Hey Kat, you ready to go?" Cara asks and I nod. "Okay, lets go!" My mom says and she smiles. We walk outside the house and I lock up since I am the last one out. "We should take Cara's car. It can fit more people." My mom says and everyone agrees. Cara drives, my mom is in the front seat and Amara and I are in the back. We take off. Nobody really talked because we wanted to save most of it for lunch.

We get to the Whataburger and it has maybe a few people people inside. We all step out of the car and walk inside the whataburger, Cara locks up of course. "Hey, get whatever you want. My treat." My mom says and I get really excited. We get to the front of the cashier and we all order our food and they gave us a number. "Amara, find a table." My mom says while she pays for the meals. "On it ma'am." Mar says and I join her. We decided to pick this table that's close to the window and can fit us all. Amara and I sit together of course and on the other side Mom and Cara sit and put our number on the table and hand us our drinks.

I take a sip. "So. I heard that Katalina has a new boyfriend." My mom says and I nearly spit out my soda. I swallow the remaining soda in my mouth. "Who told you that?" I ask while putting my phone in my front pocket of my overalls. "It's all over social media dummy. You don't think I keep up with your favorite boy band of all time?" She says and Amara and Cara just sit there quietly. "Yeah, I'm dating Matt Champion." I say and I start to blush a bit. "Didn't she make a shrine of him?" Cara asks my mom and Amara starts laughing so badly. "Yes, I think she did." My mom says with a slight giggle afterwards. "Mommmmm!!" I say like all of the quirky annoyed teenagers in movies. "Well may I just say. You picked a good one." She says and I smile. "Awe thanks ma." I blush even more. "How did you guys even meet anyway?" Amara asks and I move a piece of hair behind my ear. "Well if you must know.. me and Garson were at a gas station because we decided to have an Anthony Michael Hall marathon. I was getting some ice cream because I was craving some at the time and I was walking over to the counter and then I bumped into Matt. He helped me pick up all of my stuff." Then I hear a shit ton of "Awweeee-ing" from everyone. "Then I went to Garson's and we watched our movies. He fell asleep early so I decided I would return the movies. So I went back to the gas station and then I see Matt outside the gas station and we talk for a bit. I remembered I have a membership for a night at the hotel across the street so I suggested we watched the movies over there and he agreed. That was the start of a beautiful love story." Everyone is feeling so love sick and perfect timing, the waitress gave us our food. We ate and talked for about 20 minutes and then everyone was done eating so we decided it was time to go home.

And we did.
