Heerin was on her way to the bakery she worked as a part timer. She was in her last year before graduating from school. Ever since the incident happened, she had been living on her own.-
It was tough for her as she was only a child and had no one to support her. Eunjae had disappeared ever since the day she left the letter to her parents. She was the only victim who survived in the accident. She had minor injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
She didn't have a wealthy family. She couldn't have all the things the kids in school bragged about. She could only stared at their costly stuffs and sometimes borrowed it from them. She thought that it was the only spoiled thing in her life; her not being born in a rich family. But as she grew older, she regretted it. Losing family members hurt even worse than not being an elite.
Heerin used to be a girl who often made someone laugh. She was easy to get close to. She had a friend a year younger than her. Kim Seungmin, her next door neighbor. They spent time together playing and goofing around like the other kids did. Her childhood memories was the sweetest time she had up until the tragedy took place.
Seungmin invited her to attend Cheongdam High School along with him. Heerin refused to join as the school expenses were quite high for her. Luck was on her side as Mr Kim, Seungmin's father offered her a scholarship. He knew how a great friend she's to his son. For him, Heerin was like a mentor for his son. The girl was independent despite being so young. Heerin couldn't be anymore grateful for Seungmin and his family.
She walked into the familiar building. Starting her part time job which was the only way for her to earn money. She had been living at an apartment not so far from her school for quite a while. The rent for it was pretty expensive but she had no choice but to live there.
Nevertheless, she has changed a lot from her old happy-go-lucky self. Her parents' death gave her a huge impact. She only speaks when it was needed to which made everyone in school thought she's a weirdo. She didn't have any friends like how she used to— excluding Seungmin, though. Instead, a huge group of people would come up to her and suddenly gave her a sting slap on her face, calling her with bad names. The worse thing is that panick attack would always attack her when she was in crowded places.
Sometime, she broke down, wanting to live back in her good old days. Seungmin was there, the one comforting her. Eventually, school ended and she graduated from it, leaving Seungmin. She knew the guy was having a hard time. He couldn't decide whether to continue majoring in music or not. If singing is your passion then why quitting? That was the familiar line she always told him when he felt like giving up.
