It feels like forever. Running with big pace, loud footsteps, heavy breaths, a racing heart. Heerin finally arrives in front of his doorstep. She knocks on his door a couple of times, waiting, but to her despair, no one comes to open the door for her. She tries calling for him and again, she can't reach him.

Minutes passed by fast, the older is still standing at his doorstep. It was till then that she finally gave up on waiting. Heerin turns on her heels and walks to the elevator. Thinking that Hyunjin isn't home. Or he purposely ignores her.

A 'ding' encores the elevator before the doors finally opened. The moment the door slides open, her gaze falls on a pair of familiar brown orbs. A smile spreads across her face. She thinks that things are all going her way like all those popular k-drama scenes she likes watching, but as she lands her eyes on the girl next to him, she feels her world comes crushing down. Only the sight of her can already disgust Heerin.

Min Eunjae

Or should she called as

An ungrateful son of bitch

Hyunjin is heading towards his house when a voice yells out his name. With furrowed eyebrows and confusion writing on his face, he turns around. A girl with bright toothy smile waves her hand at him before skipping to his side. Hyunjin stares at her as she did.

"Why do you look so confused? Too many formulas on your head" she joked, bumping her shoulder on his in a playful gesture. Hyunjin doesn't reply with anything and he continues walking. A frown is visible on the girl's face upon being ignored by him. "Hey, are you okay?"

Once again, only silence fills the two. A sigh escapes her lips. The girl stops in her track, putting her hands on the guy's shoulders and pulls him to face her. "Answer me" she said with a hint of sternness in her tone.

"Hmm" Hyunjin hums. He shrugs off her grip on him, burying his hands in his hoodie. His gaze is on the floor as he takes steps forward, leaving the dumbfounded girl.

"Yah! Hwang Hyunjin, what did I do wrong?" She jogs, keeping the same pace as him. "I get it, exams can be tough, both for physical and mental" she mumbles on her own, this time, not expecting any replies from him.

"I heard that you're one of the top student in our school. That's so cool, dude" she nudges him, wiggling her eyebrows. "Ah, how I wish I can be as smart as you"

They stop. The girl not realizing that she's followed the guy till they are already standing in front of an elevator. She's too catch up with her rambles. "I should get going. Don't stress out yourself. See you on Monday" she bids him goodbye with her usual cheery smile as the guy only nods. She purses her lips in a thin line. Maybe he really isn't in the mood of dealing with anyone

As she is about to turn, the door of the elevator opens, revealing a person that she wishes to never meet again. A person that she can't help, but to think of her old depressing self.

"We met again. After so long" a smirk automatically forms on her lips as she stares at the older whose face is surprise as ever.
