Heerin almost forgets about the assignment she needs to pass up before the end of this week. She search for it on her desk, in her wardrobe, but she finds nothing.

"Where could it be?" She mumbles to herself, slightly irritated with her forgetful mind.

Heerin bends down, looking for the thick piles of papers under her bed. Her hand accidentally made contact with a hard cardboard, out of curiosity she pulls the thing out. Then, she sees it, the dusty old box that she wishes to never see. There, contains all her past. The beautiful and the dark ones.

She opens the box. Her gaze falls on an old picture of her and her parents. She pulls it out, rubbing off the dust on it. She flips the picture upside down and notices a little message written on it.

Our first ice skating together <3

**A few years ago**

"Mum, look!" Heerin's younger self was excitedly calling for her mum. After a few tries, she can finally stood up on her own.

A warm motherly smile spread across her mum's face. "What a fast learner!" Her mum exclaimed and went to embrace her in a tight hug, poking her left dimple. Heerin giggled.

"Where's dad?" She asked. She was grinning from ear to ear. However, upon receiving no replies from her mum, her cheery smile was replaced with a curious look. She tucked onto her mum's shirt, staring. "Where's he?"

"Heerin-ah" Heerin whipped her head to the ones calling for her name. A bright toothy grin making its way to her face. "Dad!" She ran towards him, struggling to balance on the skating shoes. Her dad bent on his knees, spreading his arms as he caught her light and fragile figure into his embrace.

Her dad skated to her mum's direction with Heerin still in his arms. "Dad dad look, I can skate on my own now" her dad chuckled, placing her on the ground. Heerin excitedly started skating, flexing on her skills. Her dad praised her with a proud smile.

Her dad stood at the end of the other side, however. He read the letter in his grasp before hiding it in his sweater. A sigh escaped his lips.

Just when she was about to wave at his direction, she felt a freezing cold element hit her face. She winced in pain, worrying both of her parents. Her dad instantly went to her side, feeling guilty. "Dad is so sorry" he removed the excess snow from her cheeks.
