"Ugh. Why is there so many numbers?" Hyunjin groans, his hands on his head that's aching from focusing on for so long. His gaze is still fixed on the numbers and algebra. What even the purpose of knowing what x is? I don't even know myself.Hyunjin throws his back against the seat, sighing frustratedly. He rubs his tired eyes before turning his gaze on the clock that's hanging on the wall. 5:30 pm. "1 more hour until the library is closed" he mummers to himself.
Fighting over the laziness that's been eating him up, Hyunjin packs his stuff into his bag back. He scans the area, realizing that no one is there except for him and the librarian. He slings one strap on his left shoulder, pushing the chair back into the table. His eyes are droopy, too exhausted to keep them wide open.
He heads to the exit, bowing to the librarian because hey, he may be depressed, but he isn't rude. Hyunjin stares at his long legs as they take a step and another one until they stop at the bus station. For the first time in a while, his mind is blank, no thoughts, no regrets come across his mind. Somehow, it feels relieving.
He pulls out his card and scans it om the scanner before going to an empty seat. He leans his head on the window, looking up to the scenery of the evening Seoul. Workers getting off work, shop owners turning on lights that illuminate their shops, same goes to the street lights. Hyunjin observes the familiar sight up until darkness takes over his vision.
"He sleep talks, huh?" Hyunjin is awakened from hearing the familiar voice. The sight of a girl pouting is the first thing he sees the moment he flutters his eyes open. "Ah!" He yelled, surprised at the close proximity. I've never been this close to any girl before. He catches sight of the girl cursing under her breath. Her hands are on her chest, clenching them as if it's about to jump out of her rib cage.
"Why did you shout?" She whisper-yelled. Her eyes are as round as a bowling ball. Hyunjin can only think of one thing when seeing this new sight of her; adorable. She looks adorable when she's panicked. The image of her from days ago clicked on his mind- she cried. Tears uncontrollably fell down her cheeks. Hyunjin frowns at the thought before the silver bracelet once again catches his full attention. He grabs onto her wrist, his eyes fixed on the metallic material.
"This" Hyunjin starts off, catching the same accessory around her wrist. It attracts him not only at how simple yet so elegant it looks, but at how familiar it is. Like as if he's seen it somewhere or sometime before. "This bracelet I always see you wearing. Why does it seem so familiar?" he points out on the dangling silver material that's always around her wrist.
No one has ever noticed it or maybe it isn't their consent to bring it up. "Oh, this?" Heerin fixed her attention on the silver bracelet, her inside turns upside down just by staring at it. "Someone special gave this to me and I wear this in hope that I can find them someday" a smile automatically drawn on her lips. It's genuine yet so heartbroken. Hyunjin takes that as a sign to move on as he lets go of his grip around her.
"Look! I got this ring last week. It looks so captivating that I can't help, but to spend all my lunch expenses on it. I was starving for the whole week" He pouts. His eyes grow big and the hand gestures he makes; it's dramatic to say frankly. Heerin chuckles, amuse to see this guy she barely knows opening up so comfortably with her.
"Dumb. You should be taking care of yourself"
