A/N:
As another Christmas gift to my fave, hdnprplflwrs , I thought I'd surprise her with this chapter based off of HER characters instead of my own.
In case you haven't heard (although if you follow me or have actually read some author's notes in previous chapters, you'll know), my bestie has her own amazing Why Don't We series out.
So, if you notice some characters outside of the usual squad in my series, be sure to read her books for more clarification ;)
Merry Christmas, Emy

aoirse Carnaghan frowns, scanning the Gryffindor common room for any sign of her best friend, Aurora Lupin - the infamous twin sister of Remus Lupin, who just so happened to be the exact opposite of him.
The party celebrating the house's latest Quidditch win was in full swing, hosting so many people that even different houses were there, mingling with the wild bunch.
Saoirse wouldn't be a part of the mess if it wasn't for Aurora convincing her she needed the social interaction. In all honesty, she would rather be sleeping, but no one could say no to Aurora. The girl had very persuasive tendencies.
"You look lost," Jonah - a fellow seventh year Saoirse had passed in the corridors multiple times but had rarely ever spoken to - comments, appearing at her side and offering a glass of butterbeer. "Where's your friend?"
"I don't know," she admits honestly, furrowing her eyebrows together. "But we should hear her in three . . . . two . . . . one."
At that precise moment, the sound of someone hitting the floor resounds throughout the room.
"I FUCKING TOLD YOU, BLACK!"
"MY HAIR!"
"Found her," Saoirse giggles, raising an eyebrow towards Jonah. "Congrats on the win, by the way."
It was no secret that Jonah is talented on the Quidditch pitch, being a Chaser on the Gryffindor team. With talent that rivaled both, the great James Potter's and Aurora's skills, it was a shock that he wasn't named Captain at the beginning of the year.
Jonah waves the compliment away, his mind racing with a barely formed idea.
His talent wasn't exactly the only thing the boy was known for. Much like James' borderline unhealthy obsession with Lily Evans, Jonah had been infatuated with Saoirse ever since their third year.
Unfortunately, Saoirse was completely oblivious. She would simply wave away any of his affectionate gestures by claiming it was 'just him being nice'.
"Want to do something fun?" He asks, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Or are you in charge of babysitting Aurora?"
"That's Remus's job, believe it or not," the girl says, willing to go anywhere as long as it was away from the ruckus of the party. "Lead the way."

"This is not fun, Jonah," Saoirse states, crossing her arms stubbornly. "This is death defying."
Trusting that Jonah wasn't leading her somewhere with no witnesses so he could murder her, she allowed him to lead her out onto the castle grounds and towards the Quidditch Pitch.
The girl had been bracing herself for a number of scenarios, but him actually expecting her to get on a broom and leave the safety of the ground was not one of them.
"Oh, come on," Jonah pleads, trying to hand her one of the two Nimbus' in his hands. "Don't you trust me?"
"I- well- yes, but-" she stutters, desperately searching for a valid excuse. But, she had no reason not to trust him. With a huge, she has no choice but to concede. "Fine, but I'll only do it if I can be on the same broom as you!"
Jonah grins, finding her nervousness to be adorable. Mounting a broom, he gestures for her to sit behind him.
Quickly obliging, she clambers on and wraps her arms tightly around his waist, feeling her anxiety begin to skyrocket.
"Hold on tight."
Kicking off, Saoirse immediately shrieks and squeezes her eyes shut. Jonah slowly moved higher, not wanting to go fast enough to genuinely terrify her.
"SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN," she chants, somehow finding a way to tighten her bone-crushing grip on his waist. "PLEASE SLOW DOWN!"
Despite the fact that they had barely been moving in the first place, Jonah still obliges and comes to a complete halt - several hundred feet above the ground.
Aa the wind stops pushing against her, Saoirse assumes they've landed again and slowly opens her eyes.
"Are you okay?" He questions worriedly, glancing behind him. "I can-"
"Its beautiful," Saoirse breathes out, cutting his concerns off. "It's like magic."
The night sky was clear as could be, without a single cloud to be found in the sky. All of the stars seemed to be dancing before the duo, creating a breathtaking display. It was better than any illusion the Great Hall's ceiling could ever produce.
In the midst of her revelry, Saoirse forgot she had been fearing for her life mere moments ago.
"So are you," Jonah murmurs, watching the stars dance in her chestnut brown eyes. His cheeks flush, instantly regretting saying it as Saoirse's eyes widen comically. "We- I mean- I shouldn't have-"
His stutters are cut off as Saoirse's lips graze his.
