"Bloody showoff," Aurora glares at Jonah, remaining sprawled out across the ice as he glides towards her. "You're cheating, no one is that good at ice skating!"
"I'm not cheating," he chuckles, pulling her upright. "You're just awful at this."
She sticks her tongue out at the boy, crossing her arms with a glare. Only a few feet away, Carmen and Zach were in the same predicament as the younger girl was repeatedly falling as well.
"Who's fucking idea was this, anyways?" Aurora groans, leaning into Jonah for support.
"I believe it was yours, princess."
"Why the hell did you listen to me?"
"Because you threatened us with your firework bombs!" Zach exclaims, helping Carmen to remain standing.
"It's not that hard," Jonah promises, gently guiding her around the rink. "It'd be a lot easier if you would wait being stubborn and let me help you."
"Fine," she complies, relaxing into his hold. "But the next time I fall, we're done."
It was an unusually cold day in LA, despite it being the middle of January and Aurora, on a whim, decided that she wanted to go ice skating.
Never mind the fact that she hated being cold or that she had never even attempted to ice skate.
After convincing Jonah, Carmen, and Zach, here they were, in the middle of a previously empty rink. Aurora was freezing and was positive her backside was covered in numerous bruises from falling so many times.
"See? You're doing great," Jonah grins proudly, pressing a chaste kiss to her temple. "I'm going to let go now, are you ready?"
"I was born ready," Aurora smirks confidently, pulling away from his grasp.
Pausing for only a moment, she takes a deep breath before pushing forward and gliding seamlessly across the ice.
"Holy Cheez-its!" The girl exclaims, glancing back at her fiance. "I didn't fall!"
As soon as the words escape her lips, Aurora crashes into Carmen, sending them both to the ground.
Landing on her back - and adding to the growing number of bruises - she glances over at Carmen, who had called face forward, only to see a red flower on the ice beneath her.
"Caramel, look at the pretty flow-" she cuts herself off, jerking her hand away from what she had been about to touch. "That is NOT a flower!"

Once Zach had stopped fretting over Carmen's busted lip and she had reassured the overprotective boy that she was fine, the group of four left the rink.
They had stumbled upon a small cafe on the walk back to the car that Aurora and Carmen immediately rushed into, leaving the boys no choice but to follow.
Settled into their booth near the back, Aurora happily nursed her hot chocolate, thankful to be out of the bitter weather.
"Hey, Aurora," Carmen begins, looking at something over the girl's shoulder. "Isn't that McDreamy standing near the counter?"
Aurora's head whips around fast enough to nearly give her whiplash as she isntantly spots the person Carmen was referring to. Her eyes widen comically as it slowly registers in her mind who he is.
In an instant, she clambers over Jonah's seat and dashes to the counter, almost knocking the older man over as she tackles him into a hug.
"You're Patrick fucking Dempsey!" Aurora smiles so widely it hurts her cheeks.
"Um, yeah," the actor pats her on the back akwardly, not at all prepared to encounter such a bold teen. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"You've done enough by gracing me with your presence," she answers. "But, could I get a picture?"
"I don't see why not," Patrick grins kindly as Aurora yanks her phone out of her back pocket.
Holding the phone out, it takes her a minute to steady her hand currently shaking out of pure excitement. She's able to take four that didn't turn out blurry before his order is called.
"It was lovely meeting you, uh-"
"Aurora."
"Right, Aurora," Patrick flashes her another perfect grin, grabbing his coffee before heading towards the door. "But, I've got to run."
Aurora stares at the door with a dazed smile before walking back to the booth and dropping into her seat.
"That was incredible," she murmurs. "He's so pretty."
"You do realize he's in his fifties, right?" Zach raises an eyebrow incredulously.
"What's that got to do with anything?" Carmen interjects. "Did you not see that gorgeous smile?"
"And he smelled amazing," Aurora gushes. "But, Heroin does have a point. He's old enough to be my dad."
"You do remember that you're engaged," Jonah glances down at her. "Don't you?"
"How could I forget?" She rests her head on his shoulder, twisting the ring on her left hand. "I'm marrying the dreamiest McDreamy to ever walk the Earth."
