Based off of hdnprplflwrs 's amazing Jonah Marais story, Unkeepable Promises, bc she's on vacation and I want to surprise her with this.

Soooo. . . . surprise!

I've said this before and I'll say it again: be sure to check out her incredible Why Don't We series!

"HOLY FUCKING CHEEZ-ITS!" Aurora shrieks, tugging Carmen to her feet and dancing around the living room excitedly. "PACK SOME BAGS, CARAMEL. WE'RE GOING TO NEW YORK!"

Jack comes barreling down the stairs with a grumpy expression, having been woken up from his nap. "Why are we yelling?"

"BECAUSE, POODLE!" The brunette bounces over to him, dragging the sleepy teen into her little dancing party. "THE SAOIRSE CARNAGHAN WANTS ME TO DO A PHOTOSHOOT FOR HER AND HER NEW CLOTHING LINE!"

"Who's-" Jack pauses, furrowing his eyebrows together as he attempts to pronounce the other girl's name. "Who's that?"

"You uncultured swine," the girl gasps dramatically, walking away. "I just can't be seen with you anymore."

"She's some fashion designer that Aurora is obsessed with," Jonah clues him in, watching as Aurora nearly crashes into Daniel.

His girlfriend whirls around, another dramatically offended gasp leaving her as she points an accusing finger at him.

"Don't think I won't hesitate to leave you if you disrespect my Saoirse like that again, Mr. Marais."

"But you've never even met her!"

"What's your point?"

Carmen, Addilyn, Callie, and Adrian sit in Starbucks in the middle of New York City, each of them nursing a hot drink to fight off the freezing weather they had just been in.

Upon hearing about Aurora's latest client, they all agreed to make it a girls' adventure, leaving all of their boyfriends on the other side of the country.

And, after spending so much time in California, they weren't prepared for the cold.

The door slams open, bringing with it a burst of snowy air, Aurora, and a gorgeous girl none of them had ever seen before - both of which are carrying several boxes.

Aurora bounces over to her hest friends, dragging her new best friend along with her and wearing the brightest grin. The two girls had instantly hit it off, which thrilled Aurora to no end.

After Aurora snapped all of the pictures needed, they wandered Central Park and talked endlessly, the conversation flowing as easily as though they were best friends who had been separated for too long.

That is, until Aurora got them kicked out by tackling someone who looked awfully similar to Jack.

The brunette drops all of the boxes onto the table with a huff, leaving the other girls little time to snatch their drinks out of the way.

"Ladies, this is Rosie," Aurora introduces Saoirse, having quickly nicknamed her upon noticing the rose gold ends of her hair. "Rosie, this is Caramel, Callie, Addilyn, and Adrian."

"Hi," Saoirse waves excitedly, offering a kind smile. "I've heard a lot about you guys."

"We've heard everything about you," Callie chuckles. "Aurora's been rambling nonstop for the past twenty-four hours."

Carmen nods in agreement, barely glancing up from her phone, which had been going off every few seconds with a new text from Zach.

"Heroin's needy ass can wait," Aurora declares, snatching the device and sticking it in her back pocket. "It's my custody hours."

"What's in the boxes?" Addilyn questions, distracting Carmen from answering.

"I'm glad you asked, my dear Addi," Aurora grins, dramatically opening one of the boxes. "Rosie, being the generous angel she is, is giving us samples of her new clothing line that she refused to let me pay for."

"You wouldn't let me pay for the photoshoot!" Saoirse defends herself.

"These are great," Adrian admits in awe, holding up a blouse. "You make these?"

"Yeah," the brunette admits sheepishly, pulling a chair up to the table. "I'm trying to build up my career."

"You've cert-"

Carmen's sentence is cut off by someone stumbling into her chair, successfully tipping it back and bringing both, her and the stranger, crashing to the floor.

"What the hell?" Aurora shrieks, helping her to her feet and rounding on a teenage boy who looks to be around her age. "Who gave you the fucking right to touch my Caramel?"

The boy's green eyes widen in complete fear as he stumbles back, narrowly avoiding Aurora's attempt to slap him.

"She's fragile, dipshit! You could've killed her!"

"I - I'm sorry," he stutters before turning on his heel and all but sprinting out the door.

Aurora turns back around and checks on Carmen once again, fully prepared to chase the guy down if he had caused any damage to her whatsoever, only to find Saoirse doubled over in laughter.

"What's so funny?" She furrows her eyebrows together confusedly. "I threaten people all the time."

"It happens at least twice a day," Callie agrees. "You should see the scars Jack has from all her threats."

"I know, I know," Saoirse finally breathes out, actual tears streaming down her face from laughing so hard. "I've just never seen my ex look so terrified."
