3rd Person's POV
The young man woke up from his peaceful slumber as the alarm of his phone went blaring. Kim (Y/n) sat up from his bed, stretching and yawning before taking a peek at his mobile phone.
There stood three notifications, one was his alarm saying that he needs to get up, second was from Minatozaki Sana who was thanking the latter for the night before, and lastly, Jennie Kim's missed calls also from the night before.
(Y/n) contemplated whether to call the girl back or not. After all, he did leave her in the park. But she also did the same to him first.
An eye for an eye?
-
The young man found himself walking to the corridors of their university. Somehow, he managed to set himself up in a horrible mood.
One, the coffee machine was broken. Two, He was already halfway to the school when he realized that he walked out without his bag. And three, the plan to tell Jennie about his nearing departure flew out of the window. Hell he even forgot about it.
You see, Kim (Y/n) has a scholarship offered to him by the country where his favorite grandparents resided. Who was he to turn it down?
Who the hell leaves their date for another guy?
Then again, was it even a date for Jennie?
(Y/n) shrugged off the negative thoughts, refusing to let it add on his pent up irritation.
Just like that, his frame of mind was once again tested when he saw the root of frustration making her way towards him. Kim Jennie was walking towards the young man.
"Hey (Y/n)!" She called
In a haste of panic, Kim (Y/n) ignored the calls of his best friend before making a beeline to the nearest person that the knew.
It happened to be Minatozaki Sana
"Sana!" The young man unintentionally exclaimed, "D-Did you enjoy last night?" He stuttered at the sudden urge to start a conversation to hopefully throw off miss J.
"Oh, hi (Y/n)?" Sana greeted in confusion at the sudden appearance of the said person. "I did! Thanks again for the stuffed toy!"
"I'm glad that you did" (Y/n) awkwardly replied, "We're getting late, shall we get going?"
Sana nod in agree before gently shutting her locker close. Meanwhile, (Y/n) took a sneaky glance to the hallway, only to notice that Jennie Kim was no longer standing there.
"I guess she already went inside." The latter thought, letting off a relieving sigh.
It was official. Jennie now knows that her best friend was ignoring her. Call it petty, but whatever your relationship must be, you never leave your companion alone without letting them know or giving them a reason. It's just hurtful and disrespectful.
As the two figures entered the classroom, (Y/n) couldn't help but face palm at the situation. How can you avoid someone when you're literally assigned to sit next to her?
"Good Morning" Jennie hesitantly greeted as she watched (Y/n) pull out the seat beside her.
"Morning..." The latter replied without looking at her. Jennie could only frown at the lack of emotion from his reply.
