Chapter 28: Set up

3rd Person's POV

"When did this start? How the hell did the media get to this?" The young idol frantically asked.

"Calm down...Monthly check up came by and it just happened that Dispatch is nearby." Their manager explained

"Hyung you don't believe this right? I-I would never do those! Whatever they found is not mine! You have to believe me..." The members were a bit shocked because he was never like this.

"We believe you don't worry. We've been with you since the beginning and we know that you will never do such a thing." Suga explained

"Thank you..." but still, curiosity always come up.

"What...what did they find anyway? I-in my bedroom?" He warily asked

"They found empty sachets and receipts. Although they find it very confusing" The eldest explained

"How so?"

"There is no proof that it's yours. No name on those receipts, not even your fingerprints were there. The only thing that points it to you is the fact that it's in your bedroom" RM said

"And it was also found on a very unexpected place...A broken floorboard under your bedside table. Mind explaining that?" This time it was their CEO himself, Bang Si hyuk.

"PD-nim! What's going to happen now?"

"For now, we don't know yet. Back to the question. Why do you have a secret hiding spot on you room?"

"Well...If we're having a comeback, we need to go to a strict diet right? So sometimes I hide different foods there" The latter scratched his nape in embarrassment.

"Besides, why is the monthly check up done today? Isn't it supposed to be next week? And there is no way that Dispatch is just lingering around...I know them, they stay at that one place if they know that something is up. This is a set up" You asked

"I pushed the check up. The trainees' dorm had a lot of broken stuff like the wiring, it was very jammed. I had to make sure the same problem doesn't go around here. When the staff found those, they called the police for investigation.

And as for Dispatch, the statement they gave says that they were near your dorm when they heard police sirens and as media personnel, they said that they need to report it. Guess that Dispatch spread the word since Big Hit Artists are very clean and this situation would be a very big catch." He explained in one go.

"How about our comeback? It's very near. Are you going to cancel it?" Jimin asked

"I would like to, but I want you boys to make this decision. The comeback can either do you good or worsen the situation. I don't want your hardwork to go to waste. So go or no?" He asked while the others already took a vote out of it.

"Go"

"Go for me, I trust armys"

"Still a go"

Same responses for everyone but one member haven't answered yet.

"(Y/n)? Do you want to push through or not? Your choice is very crucial since the issue involves you." He calmly stated.

"I...I say that we do it. A lot of fans are expecting this and I don't want to disappoint them. Some of them will believe those rumours but I don't want to let down those who believe in us. So I say we do the comeback." Their CEO stood up accepting their decision.

"Very well...you have an interview before your comeback stage performance. So studio first then to the venue. Rest well boys." All of them stood up and bowed as a sign of respect.

"And (Y/n)? Don't let it get to you. You're a good kid. All of you made our company rise. It's my turn to protect my artists...my family rather." With that he walked out.

Namjoon took this as queue and stood up in front of all of them as leader.

"Alright...Everyone had a tiring day so I suggest that we all go to sleep. Our comeback is in 2 days. Let's take care of each other okay?" The others nodded and started to head to their own rooms.

"Hyung! Want to sleepover at the maknae's room?" Jk offered,
shaking (Y/n)'s shoulder.

"Would love to...I don't think I want to be on that room tonight." All of them settled down on their beds and (Y/n) lied next to jimin.

Although there's one thing that's been running around his mind. Should I read the comments?

Contemplating about it for a few seconds, he finally decided to do it. Curiosity winning over his head. So he opened the article posted by Dispatch. Directly heading to the comment section.

"Hyung? Why are you still up?" A groggy voice of Jimin was heard.

"Oh uhm...nothing i was just scrolling through my feed" If there's one thing they know, (Y/n) can't line very well.

"Your tone betrays your words hyung. You're reading the comments aren't you?" The boy can't think of any excuses anymore so he can't help but tell the truth.

"Yeah...I just want to know how they reacted. Some defended me but some are still impulsive." He trailed off.

"Don't read them. You know how people can be. They want us to fail, don't help them hyung. Some might hate us for our success but a lot of army's still love us. Good than bad hmm?" The older thought about it for a while before agreeing wih the younger's words.

"I know, I know. I trust our fans"

But did they trust him?
